Yum!

Stopped in here for a (light) supper before heading to the hotel. Ended up getting the crab cakes dinner. Really good-size cakes, and not much filler. Usually I don't like finding shell in my food, but crab is a little different, since it means it's really fresh. One of my co-travelers got fried... read more

From the outside I never expected the food to be as delicious as it was. I had an oyster po' boy and it was so good I would have eaten a dozen of them if I hadn't been so full. The service was fast and friendly.

Always stop here on our way to Ocean City NJ. They have the freshest seafood, always cooked just right. The crab cakes are to die for. The fried oysters are cooked and seasoned to perfection. No place does it better.

Let me say the service was very good.....most of the food was well prepared....I had the macho seafood platter and the oysters, scallops and shrimp were great....the crabcake however was undercooked * it stil looked white"...not like it was fried at all...and my son's steak was overcooked. Also we arrived early for dinner and were shown the specials....the first one... More

In the middle of seemingly nowhere this place had good service, great prices, and good quality seafood. I had the seafood sampler basket and was amazed at the quantity (4 oysters, 4 shrimp, two huge scallops, a mountain of clams, and 3 hush puppies (not listed on the menu so maybe a bonus?!)). All that for $11!!!

While staying in Exmore, VA the night before catching the Lewes, DE to Cape May, NJ ferry. We arrived at the hotel dinner time and were just looking for take out. We searched the Net and decided to give The Great Machipongo Clam Shack in the one-quarter square mile town of Nassawadox, which we passed 5 miles south of our... More

Try the oysters. Rather try all the oysters. Raw, fried, by themselves, in a soup, in a sandwich, or in a sampler. Take one home to introduce to your father. Never mind that's your fiancé you take home. You can fall in love with these guys. Both the oysters and the wait staff, who treat you like kin. The food... More

Stopped here on the way to VA beach. I had a crab cake sandwich which was just ok. I've had much better closer to my home. Clam chowder was pretty authentic. Hush puppies were tasty. We hit locals night when they all come to sing an open mic. That was cool.

Everything on the menu I have tried was delicious. There are numerous freezers, and you can order items to ship back home. Had the stuffed clams mailed. They were excellent. This place is worth the stop.
