Moosie's is a great place to grab something to eat for lunch or dinner. The menu isn't too expansive, but they do have some great sandwiches and salads. Also make sure to try the nachos. Prices are appropriate and affordable. Will go back next time we're at the lake.

Went to Moosies for dinner. Restaurant serves sandwiches, burgers, and standard appetizers. The decor is, rustic bar room/restaurant. The restaurant has seating that gives semi-obstructed views of the lake. We had hot wings and chips and salsa for appetizers. Both were average. I had an apple martini which was good. For dinner we had sandwiches - Reuben, Italian Club, Grilled... More

I went with some friends to Moosie's for the first time this weekend. My friends have been numerous times and it's one of their favorite places to dine at Smith Mountain Lake. It was very busy, but the wait time was fairly short. The service and food was very good. The portions were more than enough! I would recommend trying... More

Moosie’s is a very casual and comfortable establishment at Bridgewater Plaza on Smith Mountain Lake. It’s ideal for friends and family coming off the water, or after enjoying the other attractions at Bridgewater Plaza. We were there on a Tuesday evening and even though the place was packed we were seated quickly. Our server was absolutely outstanding! She took care... More

We've been here several times over the years and have loved the food and the service. My parents have always loved it - my mom passed away 2 years ago and now I take my dad. Today, however, I came in with my 87 year-old father. All of the small tables were taken (there are only a handful), so we... More

We always try to get out to SML to visit Moosie's. We were so looking forward to their Nacho Grande...what a disappointment. It is usually so big and packed full of great ingredients you can barely eat it all, even when sharing it! It looks something from Taco Bell...nothing but sour cream and cheese. Now that you know how bad... More

Been here many times over the past 5 years now and they are pretty consistent. Yes, you'll have to wait for a table if you go when they are busy. This isn't a chain restaurant. It's a small place with a view of one of the coves on the lake. They do have a bar, but as I don't drink... More

They have great sandwiches, don't get me wrong. But, they don't have french fries. They serve their sandwiches with chips. Who doesn't offer french fries? Seating is limited in the summer. People usually won't wait around for a seat to open up and just go to the restaurant underneath this one. Service is slow. Bar is on the seedy side... More

Went to Moosie's with my teen son today and managed to get a table for two without a wait. Getting waited on took awhile. Finally ordered chicken salad plate and a sammy. Easy, right? Well over an hour after the server took our order, food came and we were thanked for our patience. Sandwich was fine if you don't count... More
