Drove over for dinner and my favorite 3 taco meal...but HTC was dark and no signs in the door. We called and they are closed for good after 11 years. Judy the bartender was a hoot and mixed strong drinks...hopefully, we run into her again. We noticed the last time many tables were empty but thought maybe we were just... More

Always great service, great food delivered quickly and hot. A favorite for my family. We go way too often. The owner/manager comes to see how we are enjoying food. Never had a problem with the place. Highly recommend for family or couple.

Not sure what happened, because this used to be a favorite restaurant! Unfortunately, it seems that something has happened - quality has gone down, flavor just wasn't there, and even though there were only three tables with customers - and more than three servers - service wasn't great! With so few customers, the wait staff should have been on top... More

With the pletra of mexican/southwestern dining spots on Hull Street (there are 5 winth 3 miles of our house). We have consistantly gone back to Hot Tamale for the last 7 years. The service is always fun, friendly and super fast. The menu has more choices than the "others" . Being able to "design" your own main dish and picking... More

One of my favorite mexican places. The food is good, and fairly priced. And the margaritas are awesome.

Another Tex-Mex theme. Not really authentic but much better than the chain and better deal too. Mediocre salsa ( the first impression ). Decent bottle beer list. No draft. Plain desserts.

Everything ordered has always been well executed margaritas, tamales, "create your own" specialities, pork carnitas, and a variety of house made salsas. Hot Tamlae proves that if you are consistent in quality and service, you can with stand competition and not being backed by a chain name!

This locally owned restaurant is one of the best Mexican that I have had in the Midlothian area. I have now moved to another city but any time I am in the Richmond area I make it a point to stop. The selection and choices are huge. Margaritas are fantastic (especially the House Margarita). The food taste so fresh and... More
