Crab Louie's has an excellent and vast gluten free menu! They had chicken that was good plus lots of seafood. They even had GF crab cakes and she crab soup! Tied with the crab cakes for most amazing was the delicious bananas foster as a unique GF dessert! People have to know about this great GF option outside of Richmond,... More

I generally do not like to write a bad review but my experience was really poor. I stopped in to order take out and waited while it was made. I got the combo plate and was expected a good helping of food for the price. There were only three shrimp, two small pieces of fish and a few small scallops.... More

Crab Louis is our "event" place - Mother's Day, Birthday, office Christmas Luncheon - the events when you want good food, warm atmosphere, courteous and conversational ambiance - just the way you remember it from last time. It is a old tavern, wooden floors, fire in the fireplace, excellent seafood and old Virginia recipes. If you travel to Richmond, don't... More

My second visit to this place was as interesting as the first 2 years ago. The bread selection and the lunch choices made it worthwhile to return. Set in an interesting village atmosphere, the food was delicious and the server young, witty and pleasant.

The she soup is their best item. The entrees are more on the average side. Balancing the soup -excellent - and the entrée - average - yields a very good overall.

The crab cakes were so small and shrunken due to being severely over-fried, the ceasar salad was an upcharge as a side without any dressing, croutons, or cheese- they actually gave us plain lettuce in a box! Cost $35! Worst meal I've ever had!!

Living for a month in Midlothian we went to Crab Louie's regularly for lunch. Always good seafood - especially the Seafood Latke. Popular with Old Southern Belles (ladies who lunch) and all the better for it!!
