Great food and very good service. I had the spinach and strawberry salad, then the surf and turf. The fllet mignon was cooked perfectly for me (rare). My partner had the tomato soup special, and then the plum crispy duck which he said was the best he has had outside of China.

The Red Fox Inn & Tavern is a quaint place for lunch or dinner. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. Our server was attentive and friendly. Everyone had a smile and not a cell phone in site. The quaint historic landmark is a must if you are touring the beautiful town of Middleburg, VA.

Very traditional Tavern. The lamb shank I had fell off the bone and was delicious. My spouse had pork and felt it was a bit dry. Could have used a sauce. The service was excellent and the wine list was good.

Quaint building with good food. Don't know if it is the "best" restaurant in Middleburg but if I am ever in the area again I would stop again.

In the middle of horse country and vineyards lies picturesque Middleburg, well worth the trip! Fun getaway from DC hustle! The drive is lovely, and the streets of town are fun to window shop. Lunch at the Red Fox is a possibility, too. We went for the advertised peanut soup, figuring other Colonial dishes were on the menu. Not so,... More

Beautiful historic building. Full stop. Plastic or vinyl topped tables do not add much to the decor. Made reservations and made note of asking for the table by the fireplace but were met as if we were there on a walk in basis. Food was mediocre and prices not justifiable with value offered. I was surprised if not fully disapppointed.

Whenever I'm on business in Middleburg I have lunch in the Red Fox Inn. They have an excellent reasonably priced menu, and the service is first class. My favorite is the chicken salad. Should you be in Middleburg on vacation or business, do dine in the Red Fox Inn & Tavern.

Had lunch with family here yesterday. Both the food and service are outstanding. Wine lovers will appreciate the selection of wines. Decor is charming. By far the best meal experience of the trip!

one of the worst meals I have had in a long time. Our server was "very uniformed" apparently. I am a Chef and i cannot believe that they can take pride in what they serve. The lowest quality of product, presentation must be a foreign word. We ordered a house salad. It came to the table messy on the plate,... More

This is my new standard for the ideal meal and exceptional service. The pork schnitzel and spaetzle were seasoned perfectly - I usually am prepared for schnitzel to be bland, but they did it perfectly. The catch of the day, Mahi Mahi, was also done perfectly. The only problem is that we were too full to try any of the... More
