First, the staff is awesome. The buffet is always fully stocked at breakfast, the food is really good, and the prices are low. This is real food, not the junk you get at the chain places. I always stop here for lunch or breakfast if I'm in the area. I've been going for about 20 years, I guess, and it's... More

This plain but competent eating place is a good respite after touring battlefields. The usual American food is available and it is tasty and inexpensive. $25.40 for lunch for 3 adults. It is in a strip mall in Mechanicsville and not hard to find. Wait staff very pleasant. Sporting goods store next door.

Ok, I am not one to just walk into a restaurant that I have never heard of before. I was having my car serviced next door and I needed coffee! So I walked into this quant establishment. When I walked in the aroma was very inviting! So, I was greeted by a very friendly hostess. Now, the service I received... More

I eat breakfast here three to four times a month. The menu includes almost anything you could desire. I usually get their country ham and eggs with grits and dry rye. Sometimes for a change I get soft scrambled eggs, crisp bacon and a waffle. The food, coffee and our waitress, Donna, are all excellent.

This restaurant is only open for breakfast and lunch, great menu and good food, the parking lot is usually full, although the restaurant is quite large, the lot might be full, but the restaurant will have empty seats.

This restaurant has a nice homey feel to it. Always packed during the usual eating hours. They serve breakfast and lunch all day. We beat the lunch crowd by going at 10:40 am. We both wanted a big lunch. This was not a problem. My husband ordered chopped sirloin with grilled onions mushrooms and gravy, 2 sides ( turnip greens... More

I walked in this morning right after 6AM, even before they got the breakfast buffet set up. I was still able to order off the menu from a very friendly and attentive member of the wait staff. As the food was being prepared I looked over the interior(which is very eclectic) and it occurred to me that this is the... More

It's something about not doing the stuff in your own back yard. I live in this town and must confess I did not visit this restaurant before yesterday. I've been meaning to, but our schedules make it difficult to do many breakfasts or lunches out. But after yesterday, that's gonna have to change! The first thing that struck me was... More

The Cold Harbor Restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch. It is located in Mechanicsville close to the Cold Harbor battlefield which was the main reason for coming here. The restaurant shares a parking lot with an antique mall and sporting store, resulting in few parking spots available. Upon entering it was obvious most of the cars were for the... More

I would have dinner there every day too, but, they close at 3 pm. I love the food, the waitresses, the owner, the cooks. I have seen people make an arsse of themselves, jump up and down (not literally) and I believe it was a scene to get a free meal or just a bad day that made them take... More
