This Ex-New Yorker Was Pleasantly Surprised

We live in Cincinnati now, where the Italian food is mostly terrible, and I miss being able to go into a random Italian restaurant in a random strip mall and getting decent Italian food, like on Long Island, where I grew up. So we were pleasantly surprised when we happened upon this place on the way back from the beach.... More

I thought the pizza was fabulous! We had two kinds: a chicken/spinach with a cream sauce and a standard pepperoni. I have to say it is the best pizza I have had in a very long time. They were cooked perfectly with just a touch of crispness to the crust. I normally leave crust in my plate; not this time!... More

I have the best Italian restaurants available to me in NYC so didn't expect much of this place. PLEASANTLY surprised with the taste of the food. The atmosphere doesn't look like much and the staff isn't too attentive but good food for a good price.

I've had Pizza from East to West coast. Of my top 3, the 1st 2 are coal burning. Pepe's(New Haven) & Grimaldi's( NYC). But my all time favorite is by far Gus'. Tucked away in Mechanicsville, Va. Perfect thin crust, lots of sauce & plenty of toppings. Move over NY. Their spaghetti with meat sauce, meatballs, and baked cheese is... More

The menu selection is Pub style, but the cooking is great. I love the seafood there and is always great. We have been there several times and never disappointed. The food taste fresh and a lot better then some of the national chains you can pick.

My boyfriend and I enjoy supporting local establishments but please save your $$$ and don't go here. I ordered a blackened tuna dad and my boyfriend ordered the lasagna. But before addressing the food, lets start at the door. There was not a hostess to greet us. We looked at a menu while waiting and to thought about a chancing... More

This is one of our favorite spots. The baked lasagna is my favorite, the salads are always crisp and fresh with homemade dressings. The garlic bread is always good. The staff is attentive and the atmosphere offers a place to enjoy a family get-together or a quiet dinner of conversation and good food.

I sat on the bar side (by choice) and had a pretty good experience. We ordered a pizza and baked spaghetti, both of which were really good. I thought the pizza was a little over priced ($16.50 for a medium two topping), but it was good and decent sized so it was not terrible. The pasta was well priced. There... More
