When you drive up to this restaurant, you will be completely unimpressed. Step inside, and you will find excellent decor that you never imagined from outside. AND the food is very, very good. I have eaten here several times and never been disappointed. It also has a very nice private room for 20-50 people.

We have been to a few good Italian Restaurants here in Richmond such as La Grotta and Edo Squid but this has good food and very attentive service. Worried a bit after changing owners/cooks but the food is still great , a good menu and reasonable prices.

We are on a cross country road trip from California to Maine and our next-to-last night landed us in Mechanicsville, Virginia. Holiday Inn Express had a menu/10% off for Pasta House which gave us a great incentive to give it a try. The restaurant is literally less than five minutes' drive from the hotel. Very worth it instead of going... More

We had a company dinner and meeting at a large corner table and the location and ambience was just about perfect. The service was excellent and stood out from other establishments. The food seemed to be well enjoyed by all, especially the chicken dishes. The dinner salad served with the meal was brilliantly fresh and of good portion size. The... More

I have eaten here 5 times. Service has always been excellent. But, don't order anything with shrimp because there will be a very limited number of them. However, the lasagne, spaghetti and baked spaghetti are really delicious- ask for more sauce. The oyster appetizer is also excellent!!

We went here anticipating a very nice Valetines day. Were we disappointed. We had reservations, which meant nothing. After waiting 45 mins we asked how much longer it would be and were told she had no idea because they had not seated people who had reservations an hour before us. The hostess was rude and thought it was funny that... More

We stopped here while getting gas and hubby wanted Italian. What a pleasant surprise, nestled unobtrusively in a shopping center alongside the gas station, was this little gem. We were seated immediately and I got my usual lasagne which was delicious. Hubby had his usual caesar salad and spaghetti and meatballs. I tasted his and they were delicious too. The... More

Really a great bargain for better than average Italian food. I might even say upscale food. The wine list is limited but very appropriate and fantastically priced. It is definately not a pizza joint who has an extended menu. It is (fortunately) off the regular dining route so no crowds when we go. We had oysters rockefeller which were done... More

This was quite a Christmas eve "to do". They were slammed, but gosh what a really good service from our lady Lisa, the USPS mail carrier. Yep, you got it. She was asked to work because of all of the customers who showed up on the eve. Apparently, not many places were open and lots of customers had reservations. We... More

Everything we had was good-baked spaghetti , baked spaghetti with meatballs, pollo piccata (yum ), pollo Marsala , pollo fransese, pollo livornese. All were very tasty and well prepared -- excellent service . bread was nothing special but was improved by requested olive oil and Parmesan. House dressing was nice. Italian bottled beer and wine selection. Very reasonable dinner- under... More
