Home cooked goodness at reasonable prices

Whether it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner, stopping in at the Thunderbird Cafe is a good idea. The food is all homemade and quite tasty; service is great, and the prices are most reasonable. Next time in the area, try it for yourself and see!

If you want some unique breakfast foods, it's a good place to go. But the service wasn't good. Empty tables needed cleaned off while several people waited to be seated, but the waitresses were in NO hurry. After we were seated, can't say the service was any better

We stopped for dinner and returned for breakfast. The price was right but more importantly the food was excellent. Everything we ordered was fresh and homemade. The entrees we're welcoming to travelers and the service was quick, the southern cuisine peaked our interest and we were not disappointed. Beyond excellent!!

Great menu, great service, great food. We lucked out and arrived before the crowds. Would definitely recommend you arrive early if you don't want to wait.

We stopped at The Thunderbird Cafe for lunch and got one of the last tables (though, there were several seats still available at the counter). I ordered the roasted turkey open-faced sandwich. Very good--I'm fairly confident they've roasted the turkey breast and made the gravy (no pre-prepared food). The smashed potatoes and cole slaw were also very good.

It was a very convenient off resort property for a meal. The booths are a little tight. You can sit at the counter. Our waiter, Jimmy, was very helpful and friendly. Checked on us often and watched very closely to make sure our drinks were filled. The food was more like a mom and pop restaurant instead of just the... More

We vacation at Massanutten and go to the Thunderbird at least twice while in town. The staff are friendly, food is good. Have had breakfast, lunch, and dinner there and enjoyed all. If you order the Piglet omelette ask for side of cumin sour cream with it! Yummy!!

Good for breakfast. Great location from Massanutten Resort. Reasonable pricing. Did have some small booths, but no real issue.

The service was great but the food and coffee was average. Omelet was over cooked and the coffee was very weak. But once again the service was great and the French toast was on point.

Fabulous sausage and biscuits. The house-made sausage is exceptional. Top notch service. Always a stop for us.
