This is a great place to relax and grab an afternoon snack. I split a pot of tea and some scones with a friend for under $10 a person. The scones were delicious and came with several types of spreads. I would recommend making reservations if you can; they do fill up during peak times.

Lynchburg now has two T-Rooms, this one and The Texas Tavern. When the men say they are going to the "T" room, we know which one. Our wives are making things a mess by calling this place "The Tea Room." My wife loves this place and goes here to relax and to grade student's papers. I go and love the... More

This is hands down my favorite place in Lynchburg. I go as often as I can. The food is delicious no matter what item and I've pretty much tried them all. The staff is always friendly and attentive and I have never had an unpleasant experience. My favorite time to go is for afternoon tea and it is always the... More

This is quite the find in downtown Lynchburg. My sister and I decide to stop for lunch and found this incredible tea room. The atmosphere was so perfect and relaxing. The pot of tea was perfect! I had the chicken & mushroom pie and ended with a crumble. Everything was excellent but the crumble was to die for. We got... More

I absolutely love the Ploughcroft Tea Room! I've only been for afternoon tea (never for lunch), but it's always such an enjoyable experience. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing. I enjoying coming for tea and scones or shortbread, and the staff don't mind if you stay an hour or two just to enjoy... Awesome, authentic little tea room smack in the middle of downtown Lynchburg. If you want to step into an authentic British tea room, look no further. Great selection of teas, soups, salads & you must try the "Cottage Pie" and for desert "Stickey Toffee Pudding". Oh how I can taste it now.

We lucked into an empty table one afternoon while in the area, lucky us. We enjoyed two different types of tea (one pot is plenty for two people) so you might want to decide on one flavor. The chicken and mushroom pie was awesome, which came with a small side salad. Portions are small so you might leave hungry if... More

We ordered the Victorian Tea. The deserts were fabulous. The tea was great. The server friendly and competent. Personally, I would put more cream cheese on the sandwich, but it is a small matter compared to the overall experience.

I have eaten at Ploughcroft Tea Room in Lynchburg, VA several times and have never been disappointed. The service is great and food is very tasty. Try the Darjeeling Tea, it is really good. I am not an avid hot tea drinker but loved that tea. Had the chicken and mushroom pie and it was really great. I have never... More

This place is great! There is an authentic atmosphere that makes me think I am actually in England having tea and the service is outstanding. I highly recommend this tea room to anyone living or visiting Lynchburg. Make a reservation before visiting though, because this place is popular.
