Special Occasion dining

Well worth the trip to this restaurant at this lovely historic inn. Fine dining at a reasonable price, very romantic setting, flowers and candlelight on each table. All food was delicious and fresh; and if you can spend the night, breakfast is just as wonderful!

We loved the nutritiousness of each meal and all the courses were well proportioned. Delicious and well worth every penny.

My college roommate and I visited The Inn at Meander and so enjoyed the delicious meals. Several unique choices are offered each evening----the fish is freah and perfectly prepared. They have their own chef who brings her great taste and flavor from the kitchen to the dining table. Wine pairings are delicious! and well chosen. Fabulous desserts. After dinner sit... More

Enjoyed a wonderful Four Course Dinner. The service, food and staff were outstanding. This is your opportunity to try an outstanding food and wine pairing. Their food is paired only with wonderful wines from Virginia and most of the dishes are made with local produce and organic foods. A great culinary experience.

Local foods imaginatively prepared and gracefully served in a dining room that felt like everything that's good about eating at home and everything that's good about eating out!

The Inn at Meander Plantation manor house is over 250 years old, but the wonderful dinners that are served in the dining room are haute cuisine of the modern period. Susie Blanchard, the Executive Chef, gives diners choices for all four courses. It is a pris fixe menu at $65 per person. There are suggested wine pairings for each course... More

We stayed at the Inn as part of our annual east coast road trip with our 5 1/2 year old Shiba Inu, as we toured the Blue Ridge Mountain. On our way headed to SC & GA with stops in Hilton Head,Beaufort,Savannah. I know we should have taken I-95 but we wanted more scenic views and stop in the blue... More

I travelled to the Meander Inn to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday this past weekend. It was an amazing stay overall! The Inn Keeper Suzanne was very accommodating and made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. We chose The Grooms Cottage in order to have a private place of our own, and we loved it! The room was... We dined at the Inn while staying there a couple of days. My overall impression of the experience was that it was very "hobby-ish." We had two breakfast meals and one dinner. For the price point, I would expect a professionally trained chef with creative combinations I would not do on my own at home. I have to say, I... More

the menu is not exciting or different, plating is average, service was average and wine list was average.. there are other places in the area that are more stellar and exiting for the money... may be perfect if you are staying at the inn, but as a destination just to have dinner.. maybe not
