My husband, a close family friend, and I enjoyed a delicious dinner at Cafe Michel's in their previous restaurant site in Clifton Forge. The restaurant is very attractive and quaint inside. This restaurant is our favorite, especially for special occasions. The entire staff is friendly and always efficient in their service. We enjoyed our dinner of lobster bisque, house salads,... More

Just drove through Lex-we stay there several times a year and saw that the building is up for lease. Not sure if it's a relo or if they are permanently closed. We do love the town and some competition in the $$ to $$$ would be a good thing

We really enjoyed our meal, met the chef/owner, Michel, a charming French gentleman who visited with customers and chatted about the food. The wine list is good, food was excellent, and the deep dish apple pie is worth every calorie. Highly recommended, but the current location is closing in a few weeks as he's moving to some new location about... More

The "hostess"/"manager" was extremely rude. The food took over an hour to deliver and was terrible - as though it was microwaved. Horrible experience and we would not go back.

There were 15 of us on a Friday night and they were able to accomodate us which was very nice! The staff was a little slow and the reason I did not give 5 stars. The food was excellent and the restaurant was nice. My daughter had the filet mignon and I had the steak au poivre and we enjoyed... More

Ate there recently with business associates. First time I'd been there in a long time. Food was excellent. I had scallops. Prices were reasonable. Understand the restaurant is leaving Lexington and returning to Clifton Forge. Will definitely be worth the drive!

I often visit Lexington and have eaten at a number of restaurants there, but my favorite is Cafe Michel because of the reliably excellent and creative dishes and sauces that Chef Michel prepares. He is truly talented in his knowledge of herbs and spices. The service is always prompt, efficient and friendly, but one incident occurred on my last visit... More

My husband and I celebrated Valentine Day by enjoying another scrumptious dinner here. As always, our drinks and meals were perfectly prepared and the staff was welcoming, knowledgeable, and attentive. The steak au poivre melted in my mouth. I always order this. I'm glad my husband offered me a taste of his lobster & shrimp in puff pastry. It was... More

The atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable at Café Michel. The menu is diverse and my choice did not disappoint! The salad, bread, steak, potatoes and vegetables were wonderful. I really wanted dessert but was just too full. The wine choices were also wonderful. I had one of the most relaxing and delightful meals that I can remember! If you are... More

And you will eat well in this place. The chef works wonders with his spices that do not overpower but yet can be tasted. I am moving to this area and have eaten here twice already and am ready to go back. This is the off season and on my first visit I called ahead to see what the specials... More
