Great pizza casual restaurant

We ate here on a lovely May evening and were lucky enough to get a table on the deck outside. We had the margherita pizza and enjoyed it very much. Really liked the thin crust. Food prices were reasonable but the beer was a bit pricey. Staff were all friendly and outgoing.

When questioning why my order was promised in 20 minutes but took 45, the owner told me "If you don't want to wait, then you should eat someplace else!." Very rude. Prices high. Food going down hill fast. Service, non-existent. Employees are treated very badly. We will no longer be frequenting this establishment. I would strongly recommend finding someplace else... More

Stopped here for early dinner one afternoon. I had spaghetti and meat balls with garlic bread and soup. Everything was good and I would return. It was a little pricey but good

On Fridays and Saturdays they have the BEST clam chowder. You can pair it with a sandwich, or its great as a standalone. They load you up with foccaccia bread with the soup, which is great as well. They have good pasta, panini, pizza, and their altenburger is good too! I don't think you can really go wrong. Grab a... More

We had to call four times before we got someone on the phone. Food was expensive (a to go order of a house salad and 3 pieces of pizza was $25!).

we found this Resturant 4 years ago and never miss a chance to eat there when we have to visit Lexington. Today we had a cup of clam chowder and split a cheese steak sub. The soup was amazing, I should've gotten a bowl and not had the sandwich. So thick and chunky, with lots of clams and seasonings. They... More

This place was so good that I felt compelled to write my first review on TripAdvisor! I had the beef cheesesteak sub and my friend had the meatball sub. They have pizzas, calzones, subs and it al looks great! I live 30 minutes north and will be back frequently.

Whenever we visit here there is always a trip to salernos. We've had most of the menu and all items are worth getting. Last night I had the Nate special and loved the sauce, which is a bit spicy. The bread here is fantastic especially on the hot subs. Great place for a family meal. It can get crowded so... More

what a great pizza pie at this little Italian eatery. On a quaint little street in downtown Lexington, this place has the feel on New York City -but with nicer people. We had the Salerno Supreme and it was a race to see who could get to the last piece first. Garlic bread also a casualty of our visit. The... More

We have eaten at Salerno's on numerous occasions while in Lexington visiting our son at VMI. In fact, this is one of the only places we will eat in Lexington because we know the food is always good. We've had both the various subs (Ham & Swiss cheese, the Turkey & Provolone cheese, Beef cheesesteak) and pizza. Every time, the... More
