great sandwich

Stopped here while at a horse event in town, excellent food! I had the Pendleton sandwich and shared the black bean cheese dip with friends. The pastrami was succulent and the whole sandwich was delicious. Dip had just enough hotness. Also had a schooner of Blue Moon, so big, it took 2 hands to... read more

One of the college student hangouts, you will be given a choice of sandwiches and burgers. The food is OK, and the music is loud rock. There are Rolling Stone magazines framed on the wall. Gets noisy, so not for intimate talks or business deals. Good place to watch VMI cadets get tipsy.

Great selection of sandwiches, coleslaw is excellent, local craft beers on tap good atmosphere. Chain restaurant throughout VA. Also stopped in the Roanoke location and LOVED it there as well.

Miss the old Spanky's but the fun menu and nostalgic decor make this place still a favorite go-to place. Awesome sandwiches always!

Had lunch here and it was tasty. I had a tasty Oriental Chicken Wrap while the rest of my family had burgers that they all said were very good.

Fish taco were just OK. Nothing special. Priced reasonable. were great. Atmosphere is great for family, friends and groups. Great location. Service good. Suggest sandwiches as wide diverse variety, so next time I visit will order a sandwich, which is what the service person recommended. I didn't order sandwiches which is what i should have ordered as they are highly... More

My wife and I stopped here with our young kids (ages 7 and 5) for dinner on a Saturday evening, after having been to a friend's birthday party in Roanoke earlier in the day. The atmosphere is very unique, in that the restaurant is located inside an older home, with the two-story front porches overlooking the main street. On the... More

The menu was alluring - a wide variety of sandwiches. The service was abysmally slow - we were ignored for 20 minutes in the outdoor seating and another 10 when we re-sat ourselves indoors. The food was also slow to arrive. The waitress was friendly and cheerful though - perhaps over-worked. The fried pickles sounded interesting but the grainy batter... More

Our family had a hard time choosing from their large menu selection! They had to have approximately 50 different sandwich varieties on their menu, not including their burgers, entrees, appetizers, soups & salads! Our family shared the 24 wings, we ordered 4 pieces of every flavor. I loved my Titanic (prime rib french dip), and the rest of my family... More

We have eaten at several Macados locations and have yet to have a bad meal. It's always nice to go to a different location as no two Macados look the same. Despite the huge selection of sandwiches, I had the Chi Chi's Burrito with chips and salsa and was not disappointed. I think we were in town just after the... More
