Red Hot and Blue is a full-service, casual-themed restaurant chain and caterer featuring delicious award-winning ribs, Memphis-style barbeque, smoked wings, and Southern sides and desserts. The atmosphere is steeped in legendary and contemporary blues music and delivers a large dose of Southern hospitality in a fun and entertaining dining environment. History: The first Red Hot and Blue restaurant opened in Arlington, Virginia in 1988, started by Lee Atwater, Don Sundquist and friends. The yearlong celebration culminated in the presentation of thousands of dollars in donations to local charities. The Name: The name, "Red Hot and Blue" is taken from the title of D.J. We were staying near by and went here for dinner. We arrived a little after 5PM and we're told of happy hour specials. All their appetizers were $5 and they had beer specials. Every week night they have evening specials. We were there on a Thursday and the special was "senior night", with 15% off 55 and older. The food... More

I've eaten inside several times now and today I ordered from the take-out menu. The word is out----while I was there ordering during peak dinnertime, 5 other people arrived to either pick up or order. It's a shorter wait time if you call in your take out order. Mine was around 30 minutes, since they cook everything from scratch and,... More

Every time we visited it had nice staff even on the 4th of July when it was packed and they were low on wait staff. I liked there wraps and chicken salads. My fiance loved there pulled pork and pulled chicken!

don't know why so mny BBQ joints look like Famous Dave's. This one replaces old advertising signs with old blues posters, but the concept is pretty much the same, except the menu here features more than just BBQ. It's not bad food, just sort of middle-of-the-road stuff, with iceberg lettuce in the cole slaw, bland hush puppies, and pale apple... More

It's a franchise restaurant - theme barbecue like Famous Dave's, but it has decent food at a good price. Not my favorite place to eat, but always happy with the food and service.
