My husband and I were recently in Leesburg and decided to try Tuscarora Mill, especially after looking at the menu and seeing the shrimp and grits. We went on a Wednesday night and it was quite crowded, luckily they take reservations. Being from South Carolina originally I'm a shrimp and grits connoisseur. The shrimp and grits here are right up... More

My wife and I stopped for a mid-afternoon lunch after visiting a number of wineries in the area. Because of the time, we wanted just a light lunch, but there weren't too many options for this; however, we settled on fondue (me) and wings, which turned out to be just right and very good. We liked the atmosphere and, because... More

Since we had lunch at Lightfoot (which was also very good) last time we were in Leesburg, we tried Tuscarora Mill this time at a relative's recommendation. We weren't disappointed. We joined two of our cousins and two friends, and everyone liked their lunch and service. The atmosphere was quiet, the server friendly, and the lunch and dessert very good.... More

Went here for a special evening. I ordered the lamb chops - they were tougher than they should have been and a bit gamey... not how lamb should taste. The brussel sprouts were too also a bit too crunchy - which was disappointing, as I enjoy them. My partner had the trout, which was good, but nothing special. I like... More

I have been here 3 times now and feel confident in writing a review. I wanted to get past the ambiance, which is outstanding and focus on the food. I love the seafood salad, very fresh and the seared tuna is the best. Burgers are excellent as was the turkey club. Service has always been very attentive and friendly. It... More

Five of us went for a birthday celebration recently. We were seated in a brightly lit, high ceilinged room on the second floor, which was pleasant and not noisy. The wait staff was attentive, but we had to remind them initially about some small things, like more of the delicious bread, and some butter. From there on in, I cannot... More

Saturday 9/29/2012 we took our second visit to Tuscarora Mill. Service was excellent! We were even given 3 tiny complimentary bruchetta's to whet our appetite. Nice. Our major disappointment were two cocktails we ordered off their menu. A Basil Margarita and a Basil/Strawberry Mojito. The margarita was $10.00, small and 90% lemon/lime mixer with basil. I added ice and water... More

The Tuscarora Mill restaurant--sometimes called "Tuskie's"--is a place to keep in mind. Leesburg is not Colonial Williamsburg, indeed, the surroundings are almost urban, but once inside the restaurant the historical cues are abundant. The service is impeccable. The bar can be deafening, but the high-ceilinged dining room allows conversation. Most of our conversation was about how good the food was.... More

This is a lovely restaurant with very good food. The wait staff was incredibly attentive. The location and the decor are what really make the restaurant special (we were tucked in a window table in a little nook that almost felt like dining in a private room). The food is wonderful: We especially enjoyed the tuna and the peach cobbler... More

Three weeks ago my wife and I decided to try Tuskies. It was a Friday night, and the place was packed. I was happy we had reservations! We started with the Lobster Medallions as an appetizer and it blew us away! I ordered a flight of red wines, then found one I loved and had it with dinner. Our waiter... More
