I very rarely write reviews here but I feel compelled to write about my experience at La Lou because it was pretty darn special. I'm a Bostonian and found myself, for the first time, in Leesburg. I did some quick research here on Trip and realized there appeared to be a hidden gem called La Lou Bistro. My wife and... More

A visit to the La Lou Bistro is like a visit to a sidewalk cafe in Tangiers. We were greeted most cordially by the owner/chef, Mohamed. After seating us and providing us with menus, he assured us that if we saw nothing appealing, he would prepare whatever we wished. Given the menu, this was not necessary. I had Moroccan seafood... My husband and I had lunch today and La Lou Bistro and it was a treat from start to finish. Just a tiny little spot on Market Street in Leesburg, but it gave us the feeling of a little Paris cafe. The food was all excellent and the presentation pleasing. For an appetizer we had the artichoke, crab dip. My... More

The best way to enjoy this place is to pair it with an event at the Tally-Ho, get high before you arrive, then order the most bizarre items on the menu. The ratatouille tasted like CDs of the movie doused in weak broth and served lukewarm. The pork schnitzel was so laughable it could cause the Germans to invade Leesburg... More

My husband and I ate a fantastic dinner here and the owner was attentive and amusing.. at least I found him so. He explained in detail all of the specials, as he held up the small chalkboard displaying the entrees. We settled in at a table intended for four, which allowed us to sit side-by-side, near the door. The free... More

Had reservations for Saturday night. Service was not great but the food was worse. I ordered the Beef Tenderloin Tanune at the waiters suggestion. Cook in a tangine and have had this type of food in many places. This was all very dry. Little rice on bottom. Undercooked broccoli and green beans very dry beef and a couple of carrot... More

I brought my wife to La Lou Bistro on a "date night" and we both really enjoyed the food and the service. We shared a bowl of the Vichyssoise soup. My wife had the Tri-color salad and the Bouillabaisse and I had the Mussels and Sea Food Paella. All of the dishes were excellent. The service was fantastic as well.... More

We talked to the owner earlier in the evening and said to come back, no problem with seating. When we arrived a large party of 20 or more were sitting outside. We really wanted to sit outside after having come from Chicago's polar vortex! The owner himself brought out a table and chairs and seated us in the middle of... More

Just had lunch here because of reviews. We were not disappointed one bit. What a fabulous lunch and quaint place with fresh delicious food. Five in our party and everyone was more than pleased with their selection. Definitely need to return for paella.

For a small American restaurant, this place is absolutely perfect. Amazing food, great quality and super taste. Decently priced too.
