Description: The award winning Palio Ristorante Italiano is a combination of three of...
The award winning Palio Ristorante Italiano is a combination of three of the premier historic buildings in downtown Leesburg, Virginia. Palio provides Leesburg's newest venue for dining, entertaining, and banquet facilities. Palio has designed and built an establishment like no other in the Washington area, utilizing unique combinations of cherry wood, onyx, and antique mirrors and chandeliers. The design has been meticulously configured into the existing space in these historic buildings.

The theme of the Palio derives from the ancient horse race -beautiful and bold, risky and exciting, a feast for the eyes as well as the senses. Good music, a fine wine selection, house made pasta and bread prepared on site, and sourcing from local producers, can only be described as a beautiful experience- all presented in an historic setting that would be as comfortable in Italy as it is in Loudoun County.

Great Happy Hour

We sat at the bar and were very pleased with the attention and friendliness of our bartender, Maria. We had several happy hour appetizers and drinks. I believe the happy hour runs from 3:00 - 7:00. We have also eaten dinner here which is some of the best Italian food in all of Loudoun County.

Food was OK for the price. The crab stuffed mushrooms were good, but the sauce was gritty. Chicken Parm was below average. My wife had the mushroom crepe and it was the best thing we tasted that night, very good! I would like to see the wine glasses less clunky, it really lowered the value of the wine experience

I have had dinner at Palio's multiple times in the past (over 5 years) and thought our meals tonight were great. Mussels app was really good, dipping bread in it was fantastic. Two of us had filets, trout special was awesome and one scallop for our entrees. Desert -creme brûlée and cannoli were a great finish. I will be back.

Always a good meal and excellent service. The staff goes out of their way to please and food is fresh and well prepared. Their consistent quality makes it easy to bring clients here.

Palio was our go-to special occasion place. It has been almost 2 years since we were here, and this evening it was disappointing. Nothing particularly bad, but everything from charcuterie to soup to entree was completely average, especially given the cost. I used to dream of the meat and cheese plate, tonight nothing I can't get at wegmans. Jarred artichokes,... More

After two visits, both special occasions, it's a local favorite. Amazing fresh fish, intimate setting for quiet family celebrations. It's the quality of dining you'd expect in the city with the charm of a quaint historic district.

This was our second visit and not an improvement on our first. The food is just above average, the service was slow and the meal pricy for what we got. If you want really good Italian food the drive to the "Neighborhood Italian Kitchen" in Winchester is your best bet.

We've eaten dinner here twice wanting to give this restaurant a fair shake. It's location in historic downtown Leesburg is great and the dining areas are very attractive. The waitstaff are experienced and professional. But we haven't been impressed with the food at all- lumpy risotto is what I remember most from our last meal. Such a shame since we'd... More

Superb meal with great Staff and ambiance. Variety of meal options and freshness of all entrees contributed to a great experience. Staff is attentive but in dignified way. Cocktails were outstanding and wine selections voluminous.

On a recent trip to see my sister in Leesburg, we were able to get a rare night out without the husbands or kids. (The guys were gone on a 3-day bike trip down the C&O Canal!) We usually go to Tuscarora Mill, which is one of my favorites from when I used to live in Leesburg. She convinced me... More
