Description: The award winning Palio Ristorante Italiano is a combination of three of...
The award winning Palio Ristorante Italiano is a combination of three of the premier historic buildings in downtown Leesburg, Virginia. Palio provides Leesburg's newest venue for dining, entertaining, and banquet facilities. Palio has designed and built an establishment like no other in the Washington area, utilizing unique combinations of cherry wood, onyx, and antique mirrors and chandeliers. The design has been meticulously configured into the existing space in these historic buildings. The theme of the Palio derives from the ancient horse race -beautiful and bold, risky and exciting, a feast for the eyes as well as the senses. Good music, a fine wine selection, house made pasta and bread prepared on site, and sourcing from local producers, can only be described as a beautiful experience- all presented in an historic setting that would be as comfortable in Italy as it is in Loudoun County.

Lovely dinner out with my sis

On a recent trip to see my sister in Leesburg, we were able to get a rare night out without the husbands or kids. (The guys were gone on a 3-day bike trip down the C&O Canal!) We usually go to Tuscarora Mill, which is one of my favorites from when I used to live in Leesburg. She convinced me... read more

After two visits, both special occasions, it's a local favorite. Amazing fresh fish, intimate setting for quiet family celebrations. It's the quality of dining you'd expect in the city with the charm of a quaint historic district.

This was our second visit and not an improvement on our first. The food is just above average, the service was slow and the meal pricy for what we got. If you want really good Italian food the drive to the "Neighborhood Italian Kitchen" in Winchester is your best bet.

We've eaten dinner here twice wanting to give this restaurant a fair shake. It's location in historic downtown Leesburg is great and the dining areas are very attractive. The waitstaff are experienced and professional. But we haven't been impressed with the food at all- lumpy risotto is what I remember most from our last meal. Such a shame since we'd... More

Superb meal with great Staff and ambiance. Variety of meal options and freshness of all entrees contributed to a great experience. Staff is attentive but in dignified way. Cocktails were outstanding and wine selections voluminous.

My sister held her wedding rehearsal dinner at Palio last week. The service was good, ambiance inviting and food was beautifully prepared. I can't speak to the regular menu as ours was a preset dinner, but if the lasagna I had was any indication of the rest of their menu, they've nailed it!

This was our second visit to Palio and we were concerned that it would not live up to the great first experience. Well it did once again impress us with excellent food and service, Highly recommend enjoying a meal there!

We were up in the area and found a coupon at Restaurant.com for this spot for dinner. I have had mixed success with Restaurant.com places- some great, some just about out of business. This place was neither. The service was decent, the food was ok, and overall it was a nice dinner. Not sure I would visit again but with... More

I visited Palio on Mother's Day with my 19 year old daughter and my parents for lunch. I had been concerned about some reviews that criticized their service. We had a wonderful experience from the time we were greeted at the door. Our waiter was very attentive. The atmosphere was on the quiet side which was perfect since both my... More

This was our second visit to Palio's. The first was many years ago and I vaguely remembered the food being quite good but I didn't care for the upstairs dining room. While looking for a last minute restaurant for my family to take "Grandma" out for Mother's Day, I ran across available tables at Palio's. We were a party of... More
