Juicy sandwich, stellar fries and cold beer

I think this little restaurant is wonderful. The staff is friendly and the food is scrumptious. The Doener sandwiches are so good - even if the taste of garlic lingers in my mouth well into the next day. The fries are so delicious that you feel compelled to finish every morsel - even though your... read more

Not a great place to look at but do not let that stop you. I had the chicken doner and a pretzel both were excellent. The nice young lady working on this day took her time to explain the menu to me. I recommend this place.

The quality of the food is going down hill...what's going on? It use to be good but now it's overcooked, fatty, mystery meats drowned with sauce that's bland. Average, teeterin on poor and it pains me to write this. The outdoor deck use to be teaming with people and music, now it's dirty and empty. The concept of this place... More

Tried going for dinner. Was excited to see doner kebob, currywurst, and German beer in the US (even though $8 would be a little pricy for german street food). When I went to order, however, I was told that I could not get beer, because my Virginia Driver's license is vertical. I'm 23; it's not my fault VA makes you... More

We visited Doener Bistro mainly to hear a music combo comprised of friends of ours. We wish we only sampled the music and not the food. The weinerschitzel was made of what can only be described as mystery meat, deep fried, thrown on a crispy stale bun with Russian dressing. Two bites and I was done. The place was teeming... More

We had high expectations of our visit to Döner Bistro after having spent time in Germany and having seen the recommendations of others about how this restaurant recreates a bit of the country in Leesburg. True, their Biergarten is reminiscent of those in the Fatherland, even down to the realistic smoking section, and the interior is decorated in a German... More

One of our favorite places to go in town is Doener Bistro! The staff there are always very friendly and welcoming and while the menu is not that large, all of the items that we have tried have been fantastic! German hand food or street food is the name of the game here, think of a gyro, but even yummier!... More

GET THE DONER!!!!!!! It is definitely one of my favorite comfort foods and the value is excelent. We first tried the Doner out of the food truck it used to have at the county fair and were very excited when we found out it had become a restaurant. I love the eco-friendly products used and although the atmosphere indoors isn't... More

Doner Bistro is a sit down version of what you'd expect from a street vendor is Germany. They service bratwurst, currywurst (delicious), sausages, and German beer (weizenbier and dark beers). The price is higher than most quick eateries in the area (ex. Windy City Redhots), but the quality is very high. Currywurst is delicious, as are the beers. Beer is... More

Their Biergarten used to be one of our favorite outdoor spots in Leesburg. Simple German food, authentic German beers that are often hard to find, friendly service and (outdoors) cigar-friendly. Over the past couple years, service, food and atmosphere has steadily gone down-hill. The almost all-german-speaking-staff has been replaced with hispanic help, who more often than not appear to be... More
