Great food - terrible service

Went there this past Sunday for husbands birthday dinner. Everyone loved their food. The garlic knots are awesome, salad is great - served in a large bowl for table to share with really good italian dressing, but they didn't give us enough - had to ask for a little more. The hostess had asked if we... read more

I hadn't been here in a long time (they've moved a few times), but the food was just as good as I remembered. I had the Chicken Picata and my friend had the Marsala. You can't beat their garlic knots. Even the Italian salad they serve is delicious. Note that they only take cash or checks, though. There is an... More

If it wasn't for the deafening sound level in this place, I would give it five stars. The menu is extensive and the food is reasonably priced. Everyone at the table raved about their food. Actually, they did that as we were leaving because we couldn't carry on a conversation in the restaurant. I'm going to learn sign language and... More

We have been fans of the Italian eatery since it was called Fox Hunter's Grill. It has moved. changed names, and returned to its original location, but the food remains constantly superb. We always begin with garlic knots and bruschetta to die for! We eat here often, in fact they catered my wife's last birthday bash and it was sensational.... More

Excellent food, service, and views! Several items were worth 5 stars: Salmon Aurora, Pork Chop with gravy, Rockfish,...the tiramisu was out of this world!

We are local, and go to Walkers about once a year. Recent trip is like the others. Food is always very good, and always enough to take back. But seating is uncomfortable, it is very loud (due to 2 large groups). and there were some flies that kept buzzing us. The still do not accept credit/debit. Bring cash or check,... More

If there was an option I would add a sixth star. You wont believe it until you try it. We came in from NYC and wasn't expecting to have this unbelievable food on a campground. The quality of food is fresh and made from scratch. The portions will have you leaving with an to go bag. Thank you to all... More

Had dinner last night at Walkers Dam Grill (formerly Fox Hunter Grill). The exterior is unimposing and plain. Remember you are in a campground...one side of the building is the camp store and check-in; the other side is the Grill. While it doesn't look like much from the outside, inside is where the magic happens. Friendly hostess seated us immediately... More

We have been looking for good Italian for a few months when we were referred by friends to this quaint little restaurant by the water in New Kent. On the outside, it's very unassuming. Upon entering you find a very cozy and inviting restaurant. Our first trip was toward the end of winter when it was cold outside, but they... More

It's a long drive. The food is good, but sauces are heavy. The bruchetta is excellent. Skip the bread (tasted old). Not fancy, but friendly and inexpensive. The Italian chardonnay was inexpensive and solid. We spent about $70 for two people with a bottle of wine and the app.
