If you want an inexpensive Kemal with no frills, then this is your place. It is like going back in time but the food is good and the pie is superior, especially the coconut pie.

We drove the 60 miles up Highway 17, then around the bend to 33 to 3 to specifically get to this area of Virginia. Our intent was to re-visit this area that we had driven through back in May on our way home from another weekend of adventure, and we found just what we were looking for. The "downtown" was... More

Lees has been here since anyone can remember and it's definitely a favorite among the older people. I feel like I need an oxygen tank or an aarp card to enter. It's like stepping back in time. The food is mediocre ... It's down home cooking ... It's comfort and you won't likely get a bad meal. It just won't... More

Dinner at Lee's Restaurant was average, not what I had hoped for. We ordered chicken tenders and with each bite the coating fell off. My husband wondered if it was real chicken tenders as he said the actual meat looked packed and formed.

We had dinner at Lee's on a Thursday night during a late June overnight in Kilmarnock. We'd wanted to have a seafood dinner but, surprisingly, there are no seafood restaurants still open in the town. We happened upon Lee's, which is in the middle of the little downtown area. Parking was very easy and we were seated right away, even... More

We found this to be an excellent value for the money. The food was good home style cooking, with great fried chicken. The place lacks much in the way of decor, but if you want a fine family meal at a very reasonable price this is worth the stop.

I grew up eating at this place. I've since moved away many years ago but usually make it a point when I'm in town to go back for lunch or dinner. My favorite is the fried shrimp and the homemade rolls. Generally an older crowd (like in their 70's and up). The service is pretty slow as everything is made... More

Lee's is a place for the locals to hang out and enjoy good food, good service, with a bit of a dated atmosphere. It's easy to find something you'll recognize on the menu as a regular diner-style selection at a great value for your money compared to other dining options in town. Waitresses are very nice and friendly. Depending on... More

Lots of devotees! the doors open early and the people come out just as early. The food is family style, not out of sight, but plain, home cooking and the chicken and pipes take the starring role.

This restaurant is family owned for more than 70 years. We grew up in this town and Lee's Restaurant has always been there with great food and service. the prices are great and food is great. they have the best fryed chicken ever. Most of their food is homemade and they do their own pies. You can set down and... More
