We moved to the area last year. This is the best place to have breakfast or lunch in the area. It literally, adjoins to a car wash, but don't let that fool you. The meals are fabulous , but they do not serve dinner. I would equate the food to a fine bistro in Richmond .The service is good, the... More

Looking over my previous review I still waver over my rating. While I stand by everything I wrote earlier, I am wondering now if I didn't give this place enough credit for being what it is. Every community should have a quality go-to place with a good story behind it, one that delights locals and visitors every time they come... More

My companion and I had lunch here and it was excellent as always. He had a special Italian sausage sandwich and said it was delicious. It was just the right size too without overdoing the bread. I had a salad with grilled grouper (also a special fish of the day replacing the crab on the crab louie salad - I... More

The restaurant is very small with limited seating but we went at 8AM before it got crowded. Whe we finished, there was a wait. The breakfast was good but the portions were very small for the price. I never before got just one small piece of toast (not the size of an average bread) with my eggs- any place gives... More

Don't let the name turn you off. The food is delicious and has great eye appeal. Try the specials like blueberry pancakes or soft crab sandwiches.

There are only a few places in this town that even serve breakfast and this place is the best by far. I've been here several times and their food is very consistent. They are pretty pricey and frequently there is a wait because it's a small room, but it's worth it. They only serve breakfast and lunch and as others... More

Open breakfast & lunch; everything homemade. We had the crab cake sandwich ($13), which was great - with sweet potato fries and fresh beet salad. Also has portabello mushroom sandwich, oyster po boy, Cuban, reuben, ahi tuna sandwiches, etc. Diner-style atmosphere.

We ate breakfast here. The server was very pleasant but not very attentive. We ordered an omelet and the eggs benedict which were quite good but the portions were small. Getting refills on the coffee and tea proved to be quite the challenge. Recommended but be prepared for a wait.

If you want to go out for breakfast or lunch on the Northern Neck (or even Eastern Virginia) and be assured of great food at a reasonable price try Kilmarnock's "Car Wash". A bit crowded and a plain decor but the food trumps all - it cannot be topped. Adequate variety with some local specials, including crab and scrapple. Good... More

An awesome stack of tortilla, couple of fried eggs, another tortilla, a heep of black beans topped with salsa, avocado, and sour cream. Huge enough for 2 or your breakfast and lunch. Funky little place inside a convenience store turned "open kitchen". Super friendly and fast. Come early, big crowds on Fridays and weekends!
