During our stay at the Tides, we started every day here! It's a quick bike ride away. The coffee is good and the breakfast sandwiches are huge. It's amazing what all these girls are making on just a panini press. Their lunch menu is pretty big considering they don't have a kitchen. The patio is great for people watching.

We enjoyed the fresh soups, sandwiches and salads at lunch, served by their friendly staff. Excellent selection and variety to suit all tastes.

While staying at the Tides Inn we made the short walk each day to this wonderful little cafe. One morning we enjoyed coffee and a breakfast sandwich and the next day we enjoyed lunch. Both meals were delicious! While the cafe is small with maybe 7-8 tables, there are plenty of outdoor tables and umbrellas. The service was excellent and... More

Great place for lunch when visiting Irvington area. Freshly made sandwiches and indoor or outdoor seating make this a great spot for people watching. A good option for those at staying at the Tides Inn or Hope and Glory. Plenty of options for both kids and adults.

The coffee is super, the food is good with a fine variety of sandwiches and salads. And oh my is it ever a local gathering place. The "boys" (old) gathering on Monday and Thursday never fails to tickle me when I stop by for morning coffee. My only complaint is the grill ventilation system...it's inadequate and the "greasy" smell permeates... More

They make fantastic sandwiches, even if not BEEF, and excellent coffee. Nice outside eating in good weather where you can observe the traffic---maybe 10 cars per hour. Has become a place for light, healthy eating and fellowship; value is marginal.

The Local is frequented by Locals, but also looked forward to by those who visit Irvington on a regular but also for those whose eye is caught by the infrequent visitor. The atmosphere is great and the fare, is exactly what you might hope for in a coffee shop serving breakfast and lunch. Great touches. Try it, you will like... More

I love this spot. The food never fails to satisfy (for both breakfast and lunch), and the staff is always nice. Seating both inside and out. Pricing is not too bad, either. Nestled in the perfect spot of Irvington, surrounded by the other local businesses, and a short drive to Kilmarnock.
