First visited the Trick Dog Café on our first wedding anniversary. Made a return visit to the Irvington area and celebrated with dinner at what is now Nate's Trick Dog Café ... still excellent! The food was delicious, the service lovely. So glad they kept the décor - which I find charming. With the great wineries that have sprung in... More

Nate's is wonderful! The food, the decor, the dark-red-low-light elegant ambiance surprising for such a small town. Our meal couldn't have been better, and we felt lucky to get a table at this upbeat establishment, full of locals and visitors all having a great time! This is a small popular place; Reservations are recommended; my emailed request was answered immediately... More

Best in the area. All good. Don't miss this one! Could not get a reservation; however we showed up thinking we would eat at the bar and we were placed at a romantic 2 top with a delightful server and seemingly by accident had a wonderful dining experience.

An enjoyable dinner. We dined on the Calamari antipasto ($13) which was the best I've ever had. My husband enjoyed the special of Soft Fried Clams ($31) and I had the Duroc Pork ($28) which I thought was slightly overcooked. They have a nice selection of draft beer ($7). Wish the staff was a little more diligent about taking reservations.... More

The food was wonderful. Creative menu with good bar and wine list. Ambiance of the restaurant lends itself to comfort and good conversation. A very lovely spot.

My husband and I stayed at the Hope and Glory Inn and chose to check out the Trick Dog on our 2nd night. The decor is really fun and the place is clearly a local staple as it was bustling when we visited. Despite it being very busy, we received excellent service. We were seated quickly, greeted promptly and had... More

One of my Top 5 memorable dinners this year. Innovative cuisine, dramatic and cool atmosphere, excellent service. As for a booth. Get the Pomegranate Martini. Order the Fried Green Tomatoes. Oysters! Tuna! Duck! Creme Brulee! Make a reservation and go. Thanks Nick. Thanks Trick Dog.........Woof!

Ate here a year ago and wanted to bring my husband while on his birthday weekend to the area. First, the wine we ordered had soured so we asked for another kind. Next, it took over 1 hour and 20 minutes to be served our entrees. And last but not least, after all this wait, my husband was brought the... More

With my husband and two close friends, we dined at Nate's Trick Dog Cafe on a Friday evening. The space is very attractive and sophisticated with oversized red lanterns in the bar area, and small versions at the booths and tables. Framed pictures were in the booths and thoughtfulness has gone into the ambience. However the prices for what was... More
