Located downtown, a short walk from Homestead. Simple food, gloomy atmosphere, and OK for an alternate dinner.

The Sam Snead tavern is pretty close to the Homestead. Since we were in the west wing of the hotel, it was about a3 or 4 minute walk to the restaurant. It is located in the small town directly behind the Homestead, it was pretty charming over there. The restaurant sits on top of a creek, and is in good... More

Located in the quaint town that sits just below the Homestead Resort, the restaurant is owned by the hotel. It is a very casual place with decent ambience for its type. The food was good not great and the service was fine, not special. If you are a golfer, what makes it worth the visit to this place is all... More

The service and food were great, ate there 3 times everything our rather large group had was incredibly good! Reservations are certainly recommended! Although one cold and rainy night we got in thanks to the mercies of a helpful staff without reservations. A must stop in Hot Springs!

My husband and I were staying at the homestead for our six year anniversary and decided to have dinner at Sam Snead's. The food is always excellent and the service was great. I ordered the salmon and had it with the roasted root vegetables. It was absolutely exceptional. My husband and I have traveled all over the world and eaten... More

Tried to get a reservation through the Homestead for this tavern at least a week prior to our arrival for out 3 night stay. No go, was told they were completely booked. Was apparently put on a "waiting list" but never heard from the hotel about the status of that. So, we took matters into our own hands and just... More

We got seated upstairs which is not as nice as downstairs, even though the place was half empty. The Caesar salad was drenched in powdered cheese, my filet mignon was gray and tasteless, but the server was extra nice and understanding. The manager was apologetic but did not come across very sincerely. Bottom line is that Sam Snead would take... More

This is a really relaxed, family - friendly restaurant. The shuttle from The Homestead will drive you over. The prices are reasonable. We had the burgers and were very happy!

The restaurant was decorated nicely, the food was pretty good but the mixed drinks left a lot to be desired. Being a hotel restaurant, the pricing was a bit higher than I would like.

It has been close to 10 years since my last visit to Sam Snead's Tavern... Very Disappointed that it has gone down hill so badly. Not at all what I expected. It is not the "Fine" dining experience it used to be.... A comparable would be "Denny's Restaurant". Food was not prepared well...Cold... Sloooowwww Service... Staff was not personable whatsoever...... More
