Delightful evening ... great atmosphere.

Always a perfect place for a evening meal. Located in the downtown area right across from the Homestead. It's a hiistoric spot right across from the Homestead can't be missed.

We enjoyed the food and the ambience at Sam Snead's tavern. Plus, the service was very friendly and good. This was our favorite restaurant at the Homestead Resort.

My wife and I drove down from Monterey, Virginia to Hot Springs specifically to eat at Sam Snead's Tavern. I have driven by the restaurant several times and had heard great things about the food. We had a Saturday night open, so we decided to go even though we did not have a reservation. We arrived at 5:30 (the restaurant... More

We had a group of six for dinner. Delightful waitress who had no problem with meal requests. All the meals served were enjoyed with gusto ! Loved the flat iron steak meal !

My wife and I visited again and, while the food is still very good, it seems like their prices are really getting up there. I think we spent over $60 with just a beer to drink, and we spent just over $70 for a much bigger meal at The Jefferson Dining Room. The Tavern is nice, but it's getting expensive.

We were staying at the Homestead and had an absolutely delicious dinner at Le Cochon D'Or the night before, so Sam Snead's Tavern was s bit of a let down in comparison. We enjoyed sitting outside and listening to a nice singer/guitar player. The trout was good, the "spring rolls" were definitely not Asian inspired, very Virginia food. The Mojito... More

Actually, the Tavern is part of the Homestead but in the town of Hot Springs, just a short stroll. It is a cozy tavern with a small bar and dining areas with booths. The wait staff was friendly and accomodating. There was a very nice menu with lots of lunch and dinner choices. This is the perfect place to sneak... More

Some reviews put me off of this place, but food was actually really good. You can easily walk through hotel building by heading toward spa/indoor pool and exit across the street from pub. Spring rolls were really good (light, crispy wrapper) and the beef tenderloin sandwich was wonderful- tender meat, lots of flavor from blu cheese and carmalized onions. Lamb... More

We stayed the weekend at the Omni Homestead Resort. Did not have dinner plans nor reservations but stopped in at Sam Sneads Tavern. No problem getting seated, service was on the ball and the food was top notch. My wife had the trout and I had shepards pie. Both of which were very good. Desert hit the spot! Will go... More

We started off with the spring rolls which I would recommend. Then we just had a burger and salad which was fine. I would recommend walking around the place to see the history of golf and Sam Snead. I would go back again.
