The food here is fine and inexpensive. We ate lunch and I ordered a chicken breast with lettuce, tomato, cheese and bacon. And that's exactly what I got. If you want french fries, etc., they are not included (which is fine), otherwise it's a no-frills kind of place with plain food. The one bonus was the sweet potato fries which... More

Visiting The Homestead with family for spring break. Not easy to find a fast but good eats place where our kids outnumber the adults two to one. We sat in the Elvis room and enjoyed looking at the memorabilia. Also several arcade games and a pool table that the kids enjoyed. Food was simple, home cooking - burgers and dogs... More

What a fun find in this area. Low key and down to earth. We really enjoyed the food and the friendly authentic service. Menu is basic with a daily special. Nothing fancy - just good comfort food. Definitely will go back when we visit the Homestead again.

On a recent trip to the Homestead Resort my wife and children (ages 5 & 15) were delighted to discover Lindsay's. We had asked the concierge to book us at Sam Snead's Tavern but they were full. I had a local recommend a place and he told us to try Lyndsay's. So glad we did. A short walk from the... More

After being overwhelmed by the price of everything at homestead, this was a nice break. The food was average, but good enough to go back. The prices and portions were very agreeable. Definitely worth a shot if you want a quick bite with an avenge bar style menu while in Hot Springs

If you're looking for good home cooking at very reasonable prices, be sure to visit Lindsay's Roost - just down the street from the Homestead's Sam Snead's. Our group of 6 - including 4 teenage boys - ate dinner for less than $60! Our boys loved the burgers, fried tilapia, slaw and hot wings. We had the broiled fish and... More

We tried Lindsay's Roost after deciding to "go casual" versus formal while staying at the Homestead. My husband had the trout and I had the pork chops - the special of the day. The waitress was very nice and considerate and the food was simple yet very good. The price was reasonable, the location convenient but nothing fancy, and overall... More

Owner LOVES Elvis and we ate breakfast in the Elvis room. Great value, good home cooking. Kids loved the pancakes, grand-dad loved the biscuit and gravy. CASH ONLY, but they do have an ATM in the Elvis room if you forgot.

We visited for breakfast on two occasions and had equally good food both times. The waitress on our first day was friendly and outgoing, but a different waitress at our next visit was brusk and forgetful, in spite of our being one of only two tables to serve. This is absolutely the place to eat breakfast in Hot Springs! For... More
