Good value

Good solid comfort food for a good price. I went there after a short retreat and had some country fried steak, a salad and it's nothing fancy, but the food was good. Come as you are- I saw people in sweat pants.

Breakfast here is a real treat. Excellent selection of well prepared options. Homemade oatmeal was a hit with my wife, while I enjoyed a perfectly cured slice of country ham with my eggs and biscuits. Almost stayed for more when I saw the homemade pies being placed in their display case as we were paying the check. Excellent and friendly... More

The food and people here are great. Portions are large and prices are low. Wish this was closer to my hometown. We've tried most everything on the menu and never had a bad meal. Deserts are awesome and make great late night snacks while staying at The Homestead

Service and food are really good. Service was speedy and friendly. We LOVED the Christian music that was played overhead!!

My family ate here while in the area for the Highland County Maple Festival. We all had different breakfast plates, and all were excellent. Lots of food, and everything was prepared well. The breakfast potatoes were so crispy and seasoned perfectly. The biscuits were super fresh and fluffy. The sausage gravy was some of the best we have had. The... More

Good small town cafe atmosphere and food. Good service. I got their Friday shrimp special and my wife got salmon. Our meals were average but you get plenty for your money. I suppose the meal might have been better if we had stuck to the more usual cafe cusine. My shrimp was overcooked, but OK and there was plenty of... More

We come to The Homestead several times a year and always hit Country Cafe. Nothing better than good, old-fashioned country cooking ❤️

While doing my time as an over the road truck driver... many moons ago... ate at hundreds of places around the country. One of my favorite meals was country fried chicken with smashed potatoes and gravy. Had the meal twice in 3 days visiting this small town. Underpriced for quality, super friendly service. If you're looking for good old fashioned... More

Prices were great. I had the biscuts and sausage gravy. Hubby had a Western Omlete. We both had Hash Browns (cut up potatoes and onions, which I prefer). Coffee was interesting, didn't taste like coffee, not sure what it was. Also biscuts could not be cut with just a fork. Gravy had great flavor and I loved the potatoes. Portion... More
