Fast and Friendly

Breakfast was delicious and very reasonably priced. Eggs cooked just like they were ordered. Atmosphere could use some updating.

We came here for breakfast twice. Great food, biscuits and gravy were delicious. I'm still stunned by the prices. Its not a fancy place, but good home cooked food.

It does not look like much from the outside. We went on the recommendation of a friend. The dinner menu was simple country fare. They had a prime rib special that looked impressive. Some friends had it and said it was very good. Family atmosphere at very reasonable prices.

Simple, cheap, standard comfort food fare, but a surprisingly large menu, well prepared and fast, friendly service. This is where the locals eat! If you want a break from resort prices, this is the place and one of only a couple places open for breakfast. If you are playing the cascades course, stop in for a bite on the way... More

A mile or so drive from the Omni Homestead, it is a simply furnished large homestyle diner with the usual full range of diner food. The service is very friendly and seems to be the place for lots of local diners. Is closed on Monday, by the way.

Good solid comfort food for a good price. I went there after a short retreat and had some country fried steak, a salad and it's nothing fancy, but the food was good. Come as you are- I saw people in sweat pants.

Breakfast here is a real treat. Excellent selection of well prepared options. Homemade oatmeal was a hit with my wife, while I enjoyed a perfectly cured slice of country ham with my eggs and biscuits. Almost stayed for more when I saw the homemade pies being placed in their display case as we were paying the check. Excellent and friendly... More

The food and people here are great. Portions are large and prices are low. Wish this was closer to my hometown. We've tried most everything on the menu and never had a bad meal. Deserts are awesome and make great late night snacks while staying at The Homestead

My family ate here while in the area for the Highland County Maple Festival. We all had different breakfast plates, and all were excellent. Lots of food, and everything was prepared well. The breakfast potatoes were so crispy and seasoned perfectly. The biscuits were super fresh and fluffy. The sausage gravy was some of the best we have had. The... More
