My wife raved about the buffet, but I thought it was only OK and a little overpriced at $9.99 with no drink included. Our server was very efficient and friendly.

As other Reviewers have stated, they have a VERY GOOD salad bar and dressings. We enjoy that. Waitresses were helpful and polite, and did a good job. The restaurant was clean. The buffet bar could use more healthy foods, and less "fatty" foods - seems to have a lot of that (fried foods and starches). Customers would appreciate a more... More

It's been a while since we've been to a Shoney's. We were looking forward to the buffet aspect. The salad bar part was good, with a nice variety of fresh greens and toppings, and a few prepared choices such as coleslaw. The hot food part did not offer the healthiest buffet selections I've seen. Lots of fried foods, and all... More

While I will admit that Shoney's as a brand does not rise to teh top of restaurants, I was "tickled pink" to find a nice buffest breakfast bar still out when I arrived after noontime. There was plenty of variety, food was as good as you'd want, and my server was on point. If you're a late breakfast eater and... More

This is a decent place to pick up a quick buffet for lunch or dinner during the work week. It's a nice alternative from the crowd at Golden Corral although there is not as much to choose from. The fried chicken and starches are always a hit. The salad bar is really good as well. Everytime I go, the service... More

It was okay but the breaded shrimp wasn't clean, the fish was dry and the tables were sticky. I wouldn't necessarily eat here again.

After traveling all day from Charleston we made a stop off in the Richmond area for the night. We decided on dining at Shoney's because of all the signs coming up 95. It was a simple restaurant with a decent selection. We kept it safe and ordered the sliders and chicken fingers. The service was outstanding as the waitress /... More

Went for dinner and chose an Italian dish. Came with salad and fruit bar. The lettuce was brown and wilted and then was told that the "cook" forgot to thaw out the sauce so they had no dinners that could be made with sauce. Chose a cheeseburger instead, was ok. I will not be going again. Food was just average.

Worst service ever. The seafood buffet looked good, but we didn't get to try it. After being seated by the hostess, we were ignored for about 13-14 minutes by the staff. No one acknowledged that we were there. There were only about 4 tables of diners in the establishment at the time. Waitresses walking by, playing, filling shakers. We left... More

Please do not waste your time, effort, and money going to Shoney's for their dinner buffet. The food is cold, old, and slim to none. I was shocked at the scarcity and then what was there wasn't fresh. The salad was the best thing on the bar. If you go here, choose breakfast as they do have a good breakfast... More
