Jägerschnitzel!

For the first time in three years I am not in Germany for December. I miss the Bavarian Christkindlsmarkts but I got a taste of good German food in Northern Germany. I ordered the Jägerschnitzel, a lightly breaded veal cutlet "hunter style" with a brown mushroom sauce. There was a side of... read more

Just returned from a large group dinner I organized at Euro Bistro. Wonderful! There were 14 of us, all out-of-towners and we tried many of their entrees including Weiner Schnitzel, Swedish Meatballs, Bauern Schmaus (sausage platter), Chicken Marsala, Jaegerschnitzel and Beef Tenderloin. Every one loved their meals. Let me say that any of the dishes that have sauces were unbelievably... More

Chef Raimund Steiger is excellent. Makes the best Jagerschnitzel anywhere in Northern Virginia. The Black Forest Cherry Cake is excellent also.

I love the food when I visit Germany so it's nice that I can get that quality here. This is an eclectic journey of German and Asian culture fused together. They keep a nice selection of imported Beer and Wine on hand also if you aren't worried about the dinner bill. Most items are reasonably priced so you can usually... More

I love this place. It's not a high level place with fancy ambience, but the food is reliable, the service is friendly, and they take very good care of my step father! I've eaten here three times, and each time has been good. I'm giving it 5 stars because I believe every place should be judged according to it's particular... More

I have eaten at modestly 75 German restaurants around the country ..coast to coast. This is by far in the top 5 of all of them. Chef Raymund prepares the meals himself and it is Fab! I live in North Carolina , but, eat here at least 4 times a year! Do yourself a favor and try it!

Authentic German food with all of the extras. The wienerschnitzel is great. The German potato salad is very special as is the spaetzel.

I can not speak of the food, as we left and never tried it. I called ahead as we were a party of 6 and it was the week between Christmas and New Years, so I thought they might be busy at the 7:30 time we planned to come. The woman on the phone just said to come and didn't... More

I went with a group of ladies that I knew when we all lived in England. There were 8 of us. The service was fine. None of the food good, bland being the word that comes to mind, bland and uninteresting. The prices were not cheap by any standard! We spent about $30 per person without counting the price of... The all Asian wait staff was a give away that there wouldn't be much of a link to old Europe. They were diligent and provided good service, but couldn't make up for the blandness of the food. The Wienerschnitzel is apparently the big seller, usually offered in veal, pork and chicken. They were out of the veal, but several of... More
