This is my go-to Thai place, and since I go here more than any other Thai place, that says it is good. Wish I could add something more deep, but the truth is I eat the same dish pretty much every time, and like it a bunch. I hope this place stays in business forever, for that is how long... More

The food was pretty good. I ordered delivery, and it arrived quickly and with friendly enough service. the delivery fee was a bit high, but the regular food prices are reasonable.

Having lived in Bangkok for several years makes me relatively critical when it comes to Thai food. This place was a solid "meh" experience. Bland food, boring interior, uninterested staff. Don't waste a night on this. There are much better thai places in the area.

This restaurant is located in the Clocktower center in Herndon and parking was a bit hard to find the night we dined - partly due to the mounds of snow! I had to wait for my friend to arrive and the restaurant staff was understanding and not pushy about ordering. Our food was good, with ample portion sizes. We had... More

We were a group of 4 friends. Not to say much as the food doesn't taste as the best Thai food. One of our friend has Pad Thai is a common dish and that was too gooey and sweet. No one in our team appreciated as the food was great. I would not recommend to others. Pros: Ambiance, location

We travelled to the DC area on Christmas Day for a quick family vacation. We were staying in Herndon and wanted to find somewhere to eat. However, there weren't many options. We stumbled upon Chao Pra Ya...and were we every pleasantly surprised! The food was great and my wife loved the plum wine. Authentic food for a decent price!

I know Thai, I was married to one for 10 years. Traditional, delicious Thai; You really have to ask to get it spicy, they are very protective of being overly HOT! Pad Thai GUNG with a Beer Singha. YUM

I've had several meals at Chao Pra Ya, and all of them have been excellent and reasonably priced. I recommend their spring rolls, Tom Yum lemon grass soup, Tom Kha galanga soup, bean thread salad, eggplant with yellow bean sauce, wild pork and Siam duck. Their servers have always been very attentive and pleasant, and they are happy to make... More

Having been spoiled in Southern California with Thai Town in Hollywood I thought I would never find good Thai food when I moved to Virginia, after being disappointed at many other Thai restaurants I found chap phra ya in herndon, the Thai chicken curry is my favorite! It is so good I order... More

This restaurant has been consistent for over a decade. Their food is top notch and not overly spicy. In the last months, they renovated their interior. It now has more seating. The service personnel is always polite and attentive.
