Clams Caprese Top Marks

This is a big favorite of ours, especially since recently discovering Clams Caprese in white wine, parsley, lemon, garlic and olive oil, which pairs beautifully with garlic bread (no cheese). Their house salad is so fresh and delicious. Pasta dishes we've had are all excellent and plentiful (though... read more

Love, love the REAL Italian food here!! Not pretentious, just delicious! I have never enjoyed left-overs so much!

This little Italian restaurant is located in a little strip shopping center that includes an Outback Steakhouse. I came dangerously close to getting a steak instead, thankfully I went Italian. The host (Jason, I think), could not have been more helpful. Sat me right down, made some suggestions, and even took my order before the regular server could come over.... More

Don't understand the good reviews. We did not like it the first time but gave it a second chance. The food is below average. The veal parm was average but the tomato sauce ruined it. Way too strong and it drowns out the veal. My wife's manicotti was not very good at all. Previously I tried the chicken parm. It... More

We have dined at Cantina D'italia many times over the years. Our latest was the third week in November. We can count on this restaurant for very good food, excellent service and large portions. We never seem to be able to finish a whole entrée at a seating which is just fine as we always have wonderful leftovers later in... More

We went here last weekend before a movie, after not having eaten here in a couple years. We were in about 5:30, and the place was packed by 6:30. We shared a mozzarella caprese, which was a good thing because it was more than enough, 8 pieces of good cheese on fresh plum tomato slices each with a basil leaf,... More

This family run restaurant is nicely located near our home. The portions are large and the dinner price includes the entree and salad or soup. My husband particularly enjoys the salmon fortino and I like the dish that is chicken with apples. The price tag won't break your bank and the atmosphere is cozy.

I highly recommend Cantina D'Italia in Herndon. The food is excellent. The service was probably the best service we have had in a very long time. Ambiance was relaxing and comfortable and the pricing is excellent. I had a crap and pasta dish and they gladly accommodated me with adding shrimp. We plan on returning again and again.

Small restaurant tucked away in the corner of strip mall you can easily miss it. Surprise when you get inside beautiful decor. Friendly staff. But most of all real home made italian food. Love tier spaghetti and clams in white sauce. Puttanesca like my mother use to make. Lamb an veal dishes really good too. Good service great food reasonable... More

I have an entertainment book and found this restaurant many years ago. I return every now and then for the great food.
