My husband and I went here for our 31st anniversary and were delighted. It is rustic but the food was excellent. Highly recommend the french onion and cream of asparagus soups, duck and the Shellfish Combo. They have a good variety of side dishes which were not the standards you see at many restaurants and the hushpuppies they served before... More

Historic restaurant; built in 1920; run by one family for last 60 years. Varied menu of steaks and seafood, trout, crab, catfish. Homemade soups; small portions menu (which were still generous). Quaint dining room, good service. Our only regret was not having room for dessert!

Cozy, rustic and authentic - skip the chains, eat here in instead of Harrisonburg. Simple, well prepared. Great service.

We met some friends here tonight. Very good service, nice atmosphere. Yeah sorta dated with all the animal heads, but the food & service are the best around. Dishes we had... Stuffed trout, oysters, mako shark. All very good. The sides were terrific. The desserts were exceptional... Hummingbird cake, lemon berry cake. We stay away from chains and are always... More

It was my birthday, so we splurged - he had fish stuffed with crab and I had fish stuffed with crab imperial. Delicious! I had a dry, crisp Virginia Old Hill hard cider with my meal that complemented perfectly. Very friendly, familial atmosphere, the place decorated for the winter holidays. I'd go back any time.

The Blue Stone Inn is located in a small stone structure on the south side of Rt 11 between New Market and Harrisonburg. It has been in business since the 1940's. The atmosphere is very 1950's with deer heads hung all around the room. During the Christmas season they all wear party hats. The menu is heavy on steaks and... More

Thank you for taking the time to let us know how your dinner was 9/28. I am so sorry the food did not come up to your expectations! Our kitchen staff tries hard to make every dinner a special one, but I can see we fell short of the mark here. It was certainly proper of you to let your... More

Had a splurge out, food and atmosphere was just what we wanted. I don't get back to H-Burg as much as I'd like but I am looking forward to eating here again.

We have been to Blue Stone twice and enjoyed great food both times. The decor is dated but if you don't mind fine dining in a rustic sense then this is a great place to go. Reminds me of a hunting lodge as there are hunting trophies all over the place, hence their slogan, "where you can always dine under... More

Blue Stone Inn has a casual ”throw back” era atmosphere with homemade food. My food was tasty. I had the soft shell crabs and the fresh beet salad. I ordered the homemade cake to go. I enjoyed it later.

Atmosphere is terrific 1950s throwback roadhouse. You'll expect Patsy Cline to walk through the door at any time. Food is terrific as is the service. Give it a try.
