We were pleasantly welcomed by the comfortable ambiance and attentive service at the Joshua Wilton House. Each delectable course was a perfectly apportioned work of art. The venison loin and pheasant were perfectly prepared. The sweet potato ravioli was a delicious mix of interesting flavors. Unique cocktails and complimentary wine parings. Delicious deserts almost too good to share. Don't miss!

Recently my wife and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary at JWH. For the time we arrived until we departed, we were treated like royalty. The house is really cool, beds cozy, and service great. The breakfast served was "over the top." Highly recommend for your B&B in the Harrisonburg, VA. We will be back. Thanks Brad and staff for... More

We went to this restaurant to celebrate a family birthday. We had about 20 guests. The staff was very attentive and had planned well. The tables are well set up and we were close enough that everyone communicate. The service was excellent. The food was very good and fresh. It was well presented. The prices are reasonable for the atmosphere... More

We stayed at the B&B for 3 nights while enjoying the RedWing festival in nearby Mt. Solon. The house is quite charming - various old fireplaces, curved staircase, wide entranceway with old hardwoods, chandeliers, broad front porch and many other features. Our room was very comfortable - excellent bed and shower/bathroom. The owners have done a marvelous job of preserving... More

The Joshua Wilton House is solidly good to very good. I have eaten here many times and only rarely been disappointed and that many years ago. It is comparable in quality and prices to the Chop House though I find the latter a bit better value for money. Nonetheless, the JW House is highly to be recommended. Their salads, duck... More

This is a great place to go. They have such good food and the service we received was the best. All of their food is fixed fresh, with what seems no corners cut.

Thought this place may be too stuffy. From the minute you walk in, nothing but Southern charm and hospitality. Sure, the menu items are pricey, but what a wonderful dining experience. Wait staff top notch. Recipes exude a taste of Virginia. Recommend going with a large party.

We went as part of a large crowd and we were early for our reservation. They worked hard to accommodate us as soon as possible and I loved that they had vegetarian options for the Valentine's Dinner. One of the best parts was the fact that Ann Marie helped us get cabs back to our Inn due to the taxi... More

Beautiful Victorian house that makes the most as a a B&B. Great for a stay in the area. The restaurant is a local favorite and provides a variety of special dishes, many of which are created by locally sourced ingredients. In recent months, I have found some of the dishes seem to take on a bit too much complexity, but... More

Beautiful old house with numerous dining rooms. Since it was our Valentine's Day dinner (altho celebrated 2 days early) we expected to splurge but was very pleased (and surprised) to find the restaurant offering a special $55 for two, that included 2 entrees and a shared appetizer and shared dessert, making our meal even more reasonable. Great wine list but... More
