What makes Kline's ice cream so smooth and creamy with an unbelievably delicious taste? It's all in the production method and ingredients. We take the quality of our ice cream very seriously. High quality ingredients and an old fashion ice cream making technique has made Kline's an institution since 1943. Unlike the more popular and profitable soft serve and batch methods of producing ice cream, Kline's employs an almost obsolete process of continuous freeze production. Other methods can yield several times more ice cream because of the air being pumped in during the whipping process. The continuous freeze method used by Kline's, however, does not add extra air to the product. It is a very slow and labor intensive process. Each location makes their own fresh ice cream each morning for the day's sales.

A True Taste of Harrisonburg

Kline's is a local favorite and has been for many years. When we moved to the area twenty years ago, everyone kept telling us about this fantastic homemade ice cream and that we needed to try it. They were right! A limited menu but great quality and a Harrisonburg must.

Though my last name is the same...no relation...had to try. Went on a cold and rainy day, but the hot fudge sundae was a great treat to lift our spirits. Will go back again, and next time, I would like to buy a T-shirt.

We vacation in the Harrisonburg area every few years and always come back here. It's some of the best ice cream I've ever had. Last time the flavor of the week was chocolate peanut butter. We bought a half gallon and continued to eat it throughout the week at our condo. It's not too chocolatey (I'm not a huge chocolate... More

I was a little confused with the terms, but I was not confused with the taste. The pumpkin ice cream was great. My nephew loved the chocolate. It was just as ice cream should be.

Very interesting to have custard-type ice cream! Glad I tried it and would happily go back and send others there. This feels like a great place to have around for those long summer nights. The single dip in a waffle cone is HUGE, so no need to get a double. Note, though, that the "dip" is a misnomer. It's not... More

A small (not very) banana split cost less than $6 - the same as Dairy Queen. There is no comparison between the two. Kline's is the best I've had.

Kline's is Harrisonburg's hometown locals ice cream stand that has stood the test of time. The ice cream and sundaes are just as good now as in the past. It is not in a easy place to find so you need to go look for it by downtown. You will be rewarded with good service, reasonable prices and good ice... More

The flavor of the day was chocolate peanut butter which was awesome. My husband had the caramel Sunday with wet nuts which he would get again in a minute. We will make this our regular stop when we travel through this area.
