High quality Indian food

We had a great dinner here. The cauliflower appetizer was tremendous, if you like spicy food. Also realize that when they says "spicy", they mean it. Their #5, on a scale of 1-5, was as hot as I could stand it. I had the tandoori lamb and it was perfectly cooked. Everyone enjoyed their... read more

The restaurant has a nice upscale and modern ambience, the seating is comfortable and the lighting leans to the romantic. The food is not quite traditional and not quite fusion, but it is fresh, tasty, and well plated. Service can be slow, we had a dismal express lunch (>1.5 hour) experience and another that was better (45 min). Dinner service... More

The food is wonderful but I wouldn't recommended coming here if you are pressed for time. Lunch took nearly 2 hours (and we ordered their "express lunch").

Went here on a Saturday lunch date....and boy were we.........IMPRESSED! We got one of the lunch specials that grants one with a choice of soup OR a samosa, along with a main course. We opted to try the fried potatoes and spinach (I forgot what its called, but a pic can be found of it below). For our main meals,... More

We tried Monsoon tonight for the first time during Hampton's Restaurant week, and I am so glad we did. The atmosphere is relaxed but inviting, with a really cool water feature in the front. The wait staff was friendly and helped guide us through the menu as we aren't too familiar with Indian food. The food was great, and they... More

We were so excited to try this restaurant, and drove down from Williamsburg for dinner for my daughter's birthday. It could have been a five star experience, but it wasn't. The food was very good, but the service was so bad it overshadowed the food. We had an older lady for our server. They had a good number of people... More

We drove 25 miles on a recommendation to the Monsoon. It rivals specialty Indian restaurants you expect in New York, London or the Bay Area. We were very happy. Although we have a very competent Indian restaurant in Williamsburg, we'll be back.

This is a place I love to come back to when visiting the area. The staff is flawlessly good and the food is solidly good Indian food. One of the trouble I have with other Indian places is the level of heat in the food. I love vindaloo, but it is often either too spicy or not spicy enough depending... More

I was craving some Indian food and when my friend suggested this place, I was excited to go plus she loves it. Once there I ordered the tandoori chicken and the meat samosa. Because those are my favorite dishes, my expectations were a bit high. When I got my meal, my expectations weren't satisfied. Although my food wasn't very spicy,... More

Being from the UK my expectations for Indian food are probably a little higher than your average American (no offence intended). Monsoon did not disappoint. Noteworthy was the mango lassi which was excellent as was the lamb Korma. By far the best Korma I have had in the US. The tikka-masala was less good but still well above average. All... More
