We had been told we would be sitting outdoors. When the first of our part arrived they found their was a party being held outdoors with lots of smoking. They tried to find another close-by restaurant at the last minute but could not. We sat indoors. Even though there were only 20 people indoors on a weekend night it was... More

I have to say something! We visited this restaurant because of great reviews on Trip Advisor. I do NOT normally give bad reviews, I figure everyone has a bad night. But this was a terrible experience! 1st, we were asked if we'd like a patio table. We were no told there would be smoking on the patio and a woman... More

First, we drove out of our way to visit here. Like many who are lured based on the restaurant's deceptive "Bizarre Foods" episode (2013) promo we were greatly disappointed. Search the travel channel with the show and restaurant title and you'll still read: "At the Conch and Bucket Restaurant in Hampton, VA, cownose rays are served up several different ways!... More

Place was not too busy and had very attentive service (on a Tuesday Evening). Food was served quickly and hot. Presentation was good (see photo). The prices belied the atmosphere. There was butcher paper covering the table cloths and tiled floors. The bar took up fully 1/3 of the restaurant. (No tap beer, beer served in a bottle with no... More

Was recommended by friends and by chance the Hampton Roads Tunnel was backed up and it was dinner time. Rather than sit in a hot car, thought we would try this place out. Glad we did. The atmosphere is welcoming. The beer selection is unique with a good concentration on some local breweries. Wine selection appears to be slightly different... More

A local shop owner had recommended that we eat here. We love Hampton and really liked the Tap House which is next door, but our meal here was not good. My husband had the shrimp and grits and I had the fish tacos. Thank goodness we split a Caesar salad because it was the only thing we had that was... More

The Conch and Bucket is located in Hampton's Historic District....all three blocks of it. This restaurant is an excellent choice. The food is well prepared. Excellent choices on the menu. And a lot of interesting and diverse beer on the menu. The wine list is very good too...not too pricey and each wine well described. The staff are attentive and... More

Went there for my husbands birthday and ate outside. Amy was our waitress and was helpful and attentive. We didn't have to ask for anything before she was there with it. The atmosphere outside was nice, but needed attention. It seemed cluttered with things that just didn't belong there and some tables needed to be replaced. The food was just... More

We went to this restaurant because of reviews on TripAdvisor. More than half of the menu was spicy food with various peppers and cajun style and/or southwest items. Nice atmosphere, but not worth the dollars spent. Service was fine.

We went to Conch and Bucket on a whim and we couldn't be happier with our decision. The atmosphere was perfect; exposed brick walls, country music in the background and overall laid back in a good way! Everything was delicious! We had a few apps and each of our party of 3 had an entree. The smoked trout dip was... More
