My husband and myself dined here last Saturday. We have been here several times but for a drink only in the summer. If you want to eat here on a Friday or Saturday then you need to book at least 2 weeks in advance. The food was faultless and so was the service until my husband asked for some sauces.... More

Dined here last night with my wife and a friend visiting from America. A warm welcome awaited and we were shown straight to our table (always best to book as they get very busy). Two of us had the black pudding starter and one the chicken pate. The black pudding is cut into cubes and served with strips of ham... More

We had a gorgeous meal at this restaurant last night. We both had crab starter which was superb.......main meals of lamb and steak we're succulent & tasty. Service was efficient and staff were friendly. Although the restaurant was full ambience was good...not too noisy......Quiet enough for a cosy chat. Highly recommended for a special occasion. We drove 30 minutes for... More

The Woodman at Claverley is one of my favourite restaurants. The food is good, well-presented and the staff are professional and friendly. On previous visits I have always been pleased, but this time, while the black pudding starter was very good, the sirloin steak was tough. Not good. I should have complained at the time, but I did not. Silly... More

Driven past this restaurant loads of times, as it's on the Telford to Wolverhampton Rabbit run. We have been meaning to go in for ages, so as it was my Birthday and we were both off, decided to have Lunch. An inspired decision by my wife, as the staff were so helpful and friendly, and nothing seemed too much trouble.... More

Six of our family went to the Woodman today for Sunday lunch. Arrival was a tad unorganised as staff seemed to be busy and the lady behind the bar didn't ask if she could help. However, after an uneasy start it wasn't long before we were shown to our table. We had a nice round table in the corner. The... More

Having known Julie from the Hollybush, myself and my family continued to support her when she moved to the Woodman. I planned to propose to my girlfriend on our last visit there (13th feb).. Pre warning the staff... they made our night to remember. Thankfully she said yes, the food, wine and champagne was - as usual out of this... More

Really good meal here on valentines. Was really good value at £25 per head for 3 courses. You go some places and they rip you off. We'll definitely be returning. Wine selection was good. Really liked the layout too. Highly recommend!
