About the most authentic Irish Pub in NOVA.

If you have been to Ireland pubs you will be transported back to that time because I understand this is an exact duplicate of its sister restaurant in Dublin. Great food, usually authentic Irish music. And the smell of an old wood bar that has had many beers spilled on it. Full IRISH effect.

The local beer was good (and cold), the service was fast and friendly, and the food was excellent (my wife enjoyed a quiche and I had chowder soup and the chili). But I really wondered about the place after visiting the washroom. The inside of the door in the men's room was grimy - almost black around the door handle... More

The hummos platter and veggie quesadilla are surprisingly great (wouldn't think of that at an Irish bar!) The craft beer always rotates so it's nice to have different options. The irish standbys and burgers never disappoint.

We visited the Brogue 3 or 4 times before we bought our house in GF and my wife - perhaps concerned about the Irishman she'd married - asked if this was going to become a habit. Nearly twenty years later, the answer remains "yes." You can go to The Brogue for a hearty dinner with the family, meet a couple... More

A welcoming and cozy atmosphere with better than average pub food. The fish and chips are my favorite. Sandwiches, salads and burgers are also quite good. I'm told the fish tacos are tasty. Not so keene on a few of the more traditional Irish dishes. There are three seating areas: outside seating- tented in for winter with heaters, pub room, and... More

The Brogue is a good place to go at the last minute for a quick dinner after a long day of being on the go or if you just need a break from cooking. The atmosphere is cozy and the food is decent and what you would expect from a bar type restaurant. They have a nice selection of salads... More

the Brogue is a great place to eat and meet your friends and neighbors. The community feeling is one that is hard to find these days. It has an atmosphere that makes you feel welcome and the entertainment fits the community when available. I would recommend this establishment to everyone.

Decent pub food, an extensive beer selection, surprisingly good salads, and a cozy atmosphere on a cold day. What more can you ask? I'd ask for the firm white fish that I remember in the fish and chips. Maybe it's the time of year, but this fish tasted frozen, not firm and flaky. And I'd ask for a friendly, efficient... More

Great place to hang out and talk with people and have a good cup of coffee or beer. I had a corned beef sandwich and it was great. A little greasy, but still well above average for bar fare. prices were decent, and the staff was attentive and interactive.

Night out in DC but not quite ready to call it quits? Take a detour to the Old Brogue in Great Falls. Good late night food and drinks. Weekends feature late"r" night entertainment in a quaint setting.
