Old world charm and service

Simply my favorite restaurant in the DC area. Located in Great Falls, in a lovely non commercial setting, L Auberge should be on your bucket list. Traditional, romantic, high end service, and amazing food. Worth the drive from anywhere in the DC, and worth repeated visits in you live nearby.

I've been hearing about this beautiful restaurant for years. And so worth the wait. Wonderful staff. Amazing food. It is truly a hidden treasure for the No. Va area. I will definitely be going back. The souffle is a must. Delicious

L'Auberge Chez Francois does most everything right, starting with good parking, wonderful greeting upon entry, comfortable tables (though chairs are not the best!), lovely decor, etc. And, a superlative choice of food that is always really properly prepared, served beautifully, and tastes wonderful. They have a really enjoyable wine list that helps select wines by regions ('m partial to Bordeaux... More

Nestled in the heart of Great Falls, the old French cottage feel will seduce you into faraway lands. Delicious and romantic. Formal old-world service, antique-filled dining rooms, and a prix fixe menu with amuse-bouches and other extras make dinners here special. Tell them your meal is celebrating something (in our case, it was our 15th anniversary) and they'll throw in... More

We eat out frequently and I am known for quickly glancing at a menu and knowing what I want. Not here. It was incredibly difficult to narrow my choice to one appetizer or one entre. If you are in the DC area this is an indulgence not to be missed. I wish I could recommend a meal but there were... More

Chef Jacques and his staff never disappoint, this is the finest French/Alsatian restaurant in the area, and probably anywhere. The ambiance is like a country inn in Alsace (and I have traveled throughout Alsace), the food is consistently outstanding and uniquely prepared, the wine list is outstanding, wonderful specialty house cocktails/ Prepare for a wonderful dining experience at Chez Francois.... We went with the fixed price menu, and we were not disappointed. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. I had the bacon and onion tart, the beef filet with bearnaise sauce, and the chocolate soufflé. My dining partner had the bacon wrapped scallops, the beef short ribs and the baked Alaska. It was completely luscious. The soufflé was perfect,... More

My wife and I came here for Valentine's Day and it was perfect. In the past, we've been disappointed by some of our favorite restaurants around a "holiday", but L'Auberge did not let us down. Everything about the meal was on point - they timed everything well, the presentation was beautiful, and the food tasted great. The only negative component... More

We took our daughter and son-in-law for a farewell luncheon prior to their upcoming move to Korea. It was their first time and they loved it. Having been many times ourselves, we love the old world charm and welcoming, cozy atmosphere. The service is superb and the portions generous. The fixed price lunch menu is great value for the money.... More
