Great BBQ!

Great place to eat. Good bbq...collards...spicy coleslaw! Alot of sides to choose from. Wish I had a plate right now! You have to order you a side order of pork belly too it is dangerous!!(which is a good thing if you know good pork belly). You could eat yourself into oblivion! They also have... read more

The family and I had a great time at this restaurant. The food was great and the service was impressive. They provided a great portion size and the meat along with the food sides were well seasoned. Totally impressed.

Sides are just as important when it comes to barbeque and this is where they miss the mark. The meat is done very well but the sides get no love. Cole Slaw more like dry cabbage and I'm not kidding. Great beans. The pickles are made fresh but need time to ferment before serving...Don't over order because the portions are... More

Great BBQ. Not big on ambiance, but the food was super and extremely reasonably priced. Seems to be a "landmark" for repeat visitors and for the local folks.

The BBQ here was very good. Not the best I have ever had, but in the top 40%. What I was impressed with were the sauces. They had about 5 different sauces to choose from on each table. Hot, mild, sweet, etc. I really love good BBQ without any sauce, but I tend to be a big sauce fan too.... More

I have traveled, a Lot! This was hands down the best sandwich that I have ever had, appropriately titled the "Heaven". It was really amazing. I live 10 hours away and it is almost worth the 10 hour drive just to have another one! I have never had anything like it, it was so perfectly delicious!! The staff was extra... More

Great meat...sauce choices different from living in Kansas City ..more Carolina style ..so I just eat the meat without the sauces. Had ribs that were phenomenal.

I've traveled through Gordonsville,VA, for over 20 years and did not know that The Barbecue Exchange existed until I met an old friend there for lunch. We both had the Brisket Platter (1/2 Sliced & 1/2 Chopped) and I chose Homestyle Cole Slaw and Smoked Sausage & Kale Soup as my sides. First of all, I appreciate the counter server's... More

This is our second visit to the Barbecue Exchange in as many years. After the first visit, all subsequent visits in the area, call for a stop at this very casual and very good BBQ place for want of another word. There were three of us that allow us; 4 rib plate with slaw and great homemade potato salad, Entree... More
