Worth the 4 hr drive!

I live in Philadelphia and structured a trip down south so it would take me near a Peter Chang restaurant. For those of you who do not know, he is a legend. My husband and I had occasion to be in the FAR West End today and opted for lunch at this highly recommended Asian favorite of several friends. Having attempted to eat there a few other times ( when we found it to be really crowded at dinnertime ) we were pleasantly greeted and walked right in. We were seated at... More

I went to VA for work and this was the recommended restaurant by my colleagues who live near the area. I love Chinese food so I gave it a shot. I was disappointed; it's not that the food was bad, it's just that it did not live up to the hype created by the people who recommended the place. Add... More

This is my third visit to Peter Chang's. Seriously one of the best Chinese restaurants I have been too. Always crowded with fresh meats and vegetables. Try the bang bang appetizer.

We were told by several people how good this place was. So in Summer 2013 we went. Staff was pretty much not concerned about the customers, food was just ok, price was a little high, and the place stunk as if something burned in the kitchen. Not a good experience. So we went back in January 2015 thinking we just... More

This place is in a strip mall in the middle of nowhere. The space is a typical Chinese restaurant with open seating at round tables. That is the only thing typical about this place. I went based on reviews about the chef and the food exceeded my expectations. Everything was fresh (not always a given at some Chinese restaurants!) the... More

It was good, but it wasn't "all that", and it definitely wasn't worth the cost. $60 for two people (1 appetizer, 2 soups, 2 entrees, and 2 drinks). The schezuan bang bang shrimp was really good, as was the wonton soup (much less salty than most, and the meat in the wontons was obviously high quality), but both my and... More

My friends took me there; when I ordered the food it looked normal. But the taste when it touched the mouth was awesome. Quantity is also good. tried only 3 dishes. then started enquiring to friends and everyone had a good review

Heard this place was a "must go" destination... Was kinda disappointed. I know they use good quality meat, etc but it was so so. Nothing too special. Got an appetizer, soup, general Taos chicken and Hunan beef. My sister and I were expecting something really really amazing. It was good but nothing special in my opinion.

After reading the New York Times review on Peter Chang, I was eager to try one of his places and recently had a chance to eat at this location. We lucked out as Mr. Chang was in residence that evening. The hype is true. Mind blowing food, the best stuff is VERY spicy but every dish was exceptional. Don't miss... More
