My family went in on the spur of the moment. Everyone loved their dinners, Queso Dip is YUM... One of our favorites.

My husband and I went the other night for the first time and thought it was good. Service was swift and polite, we were there in the middle of the week so I am unsure how it is on a Friday/Saturday night. I loved that they had chorizo as a meat option with all of their dishes, it was a... More

If you are in Gainesville Va don't miss out on this Mexican food. It's absolutely delicious and I don't say this lightly. I've tried many Mexican restaurants and never came back. This restaurant when it first opened a few years ago, I was thinking " ugh , another Mexican restaurant"! My husband said that we should try it. I kept... More

The Washington metropolitan area has 2 great Mexican restaurants, Guapo's in Fair Lakes and El Tio in Gainesville. You can order most anything and it is very good. I like a spinach enchilada and they are hard to find, even harder made with good fresh spinach, and they have them. They are also very clean. Try them!

We visited this place about a year ago and really enjoyed it so this year we decided to try it again --we were once again impressed by the quality of service and food. We have family in the area and this is always the place we want to go. My favorite thing is the homemade salsa that comes with the... More

This is a great Mexican restaurant. Chips and salsa are great. Had a strawberry margarita and they didn't skimp on the alcohol. What I like most about this restaurant is the service! Your glass doesn't go empty, and anything that you ask for is quickly brought to the table. Food is very good and the atmosphere is loud and friendly.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant. The food is authentic and wonderful, not your standard mexican fare at all. They go to special effort to create and serve attractive and delicious mexican food. The service is consistently great, atmosphere is authentic, margaritas are amazing:-) Yum, I'm getting hungry just thinking about this place. It is always crowded there and most... More

El Tio gives Gainesvillians the chance to enjoy authentic Tex-Mex food without driving into the city or its close-in suburbs. The service is friendly and efficient, the drinks---spelled Margaritas--- are large and tasty, and the chips and salsa are great. For entrees, we normally stick with tacos, enchiladas or chimichangas which come with rice and refried beans. The portions are on... More

Went here last night with my date and we had a great time. The chis and salsa were delicious. They also have a great cheese dip, that I also loved. We had the steak fajitas and the quesadilla. It was delicious. I love Mexican food and this was sooo good. The reason that I it was not five stars was... More

This is where we go for Mexican food close to home. The service is excellent, prices moderate and food fresh and delicious. I usually get chicken fajitas but have never seen anything that doesn't look good. I usually go with a large group of at least 8 and the service is always great. One thing to watch out for is...
