We felt the restaurant lacked ambience. It is a large open space, barn like, with black table cloths, the table candle lights were not lit, so the whole place lacked atmosphere. The food was only average and the service was loudly over enthusiastic. Was disappointed with the number 1 ranking on TripAdvisor.

We are from Pittsburgh PA and our daughter is stationed in Norfolk. We decided to meet halfway for dinner and to deliver some household items. I looked up local restaurants and we decided on Joe's. The inside is warm, beautiful and welcoming. All 4 of us ordered meals, 3 appetizers and coffee. This was by far the best meal we... More

Our family stopped at Joe's Steakhouse on speculation - we didn't know it - after visiting Luray and Skyline Caverns (both awesome), and we were very pleased with both the food and service. Our waiter Jason was pleasant and a big part of the experience, and the crab cakes and steak were delicious. We purchased some locally made wine to... More

The service was great our server was Erika and she did an excellent job. The scallop appetizer was really good. The soup we had was beef and split pea it was very tasty. I had a rib eye steak Which was one of the best steaks I have had in a long time ,it was cooked just right and had... More

We arrived at 9:30 and were concerned we may receive poor service due to our late arrival. NOT the case. We were greated with smiles and we had a fantastic waiter who could not have been more gracious. Tips if you like wine and more than one glass buy the bottle it will be far cheaper than by the glass.... More

It is a little pricy but not for the service, the food, or the atmosphere!! We celebrate Christmas Eve dinner every year there since they opened and every Mothers Day buffet!! Have even been to a murder mystery dinner that was loads of fun! It is my number one favorite places to go out and enjoy time with my husband... More

Visited this restaurant because of Trip Advisor and found it to be great! Our party of 4 had excellent steaks cooked to perfection. Our server Hunter-Belle was great! Didn't have any problem with noise or felt over priced at all. The Joe's Steak was $16.95 and the 10oz Ribeye was $24.95 which we felt were well within the prices of... More

Joe's is an upper scale restaurant. The biggest downfall is the noise level. Excellent celebration location. I got the stuffed salmon special. The flavors were very well blended and no single ingredient overpowered the other. My husband got the filet mignon skewers, which were cooked to his taste, medium well, but remained tender. The side dishes complemented nicely. I would... More

Just great food and service from our server Helen. One of the gals at the Holiday recommended Joe's since she said that many folks that she sent there came back very pleased.
