Description: The endless creativity of Chef-Owners David and Stacy Gedney has produced an excellent bistro alternative to the commitment of fine dining restaurants and to the ennui of the countless chain restaurants. Element offers a variety of sapid dishes for lunch and dinner in a relaxed and modern atmosphere, augmented by a full bar, beers on draft and an elegant wine list. We adjust the menu regularly to keep our ingredients fresh and our choices interesting.

We celebrated New Year's at Element, our go-to restaurant for creative, exquisitely-prepared food, and as usual, chefs David and Stacy Gedney didn't disappoint! The 7-course, prix-fixe meal included foie gras with bacon and apples, seared sea scallops, mushroom-stuffed quail with truffle butter, an orange-tequila-jalapeno sorbet, lobster (claw and tail) with "seriously small oranges" (a.k.a. kumquats), crusty butter-poached beef loin, and... Great place to eat - very good by any standard. Its a small place with a limited menu but the quality and service are very good. You will be happy

This is one of my favorite places for lunch. There aren't many quaint places nearby for lunch. Element has a decent wine list and a wine shop to browse in while you wait on lunch. The tomato dill soup is scrumptous and I love the variety of sandwiches. I'm not a big fan of chicken or turkey so it's nice... More

We stopped in for a late Saturday lunch. Menu is limited to sandwiches, but both the turkey and the warm spinach with cream cheese were finger-licking tasty! Friendly staff, quick service, and delicious food. Just what we hoped for and Element delivered perfectly.

Element is a small restaurant in a re-purposed house on the main drag. It's quite small; I'd guess seating about 25 people, max. The menu is small, but the food well-prepared. The server is one of those people who can accurately remember what everybody ordered - I'm always impressed by that skill. Service was fast. They have a full bar,... More

The food was average. The drinks were good. The service nice, though the kitchen was a little slow serving 10. The kids can have cheese quesadillas. The space for10 is great, intimate, like being at your own dining table

Stopped in for Sunday lunch with sweet husband just before getting on Skyline Drive. Very small dining area in the front but we sat at the window for people watching. The staff were all attentive and very friendly. I had the tasty huevos carnitas and my husband loved the crab Chesapeake dish he had.

The restaurant is located in an old, ramshackle house and is rather small but the food is very good and there is a good selection of wine at reasonable prices. Everyone(4 adults) was impressed with their meals and desserts and they were gluten-free friendly.

We were staying one night in Front Royal and this place was recommended by our B&B host. We got a table no problem on a saturday night and although the menu was not extensive there was something for everyone (my partners parents are extremely hard to please). They have a great range of beers and wines. The food was really... More

We were travelling through town and stopped here for lunch. We ordered soup and sandwiches. Despite the food being tasty, what we remember is that it took close to 1 hour to vet our meal and the waitress was snotty.
