When the Lord allowed humans to invent the cheeseburger, this is what He had in mind. I can't tell you how great it was to have a such a high quality burger. I live in Stafford VA and my entire region is a burger wasteland, so this experience was awesome. Fresh ingredients, big/juicy meat patties, toasted bun, almost TOO much... More

Looks just like the picture above. Juicy, flavor filled, larger than they used to be. Listed one of No Va's best burgers a couple of years back. Hand cut well done fries. Delivered to your table or vehicle. Young staff is very attentive and organized. Dairy burger type joint has been around for many years. Even those who don't know... More

Really enjoyed the burgers and cheesesteak for a late dinner here. Then topped it off with a freshly made waffle cone filled with delicious custard!

Spelunkers has one of the best burgers I have ever had. The chocolate custard is amazing! It takes a little time to get your food but is well worth the wait since it is made fresh!

Ordered the "flavor of the day" marketed as Almond Heath bar. What we got was an already melting cone of what tasted like cake batter with so much cheap almond flavoring dumped in it both smelled & tasted like alcohol. The "custard" was thin, runny, and overtly sweetened. The "heath bar" was a couple shakes of some no-brand topping from... More

We have been known to hike the northern section of Shenandoah National Park just to "earn" a visit to Spelunker's. Juicy, delicious, and fresh burgers nestled on perfectly grilled buns - - the stuff of dreams. Fresh flowers on the tables, smiles behind the counters, and real frozen custard. Because every item is cooked to order, there can be a... More

We stopped for ice cream after hiking. They let us have the dogs at the outside tables. The ice cream was very good and reasonably priced. They do have a koi pond next to the outdoor tables, so please keep your dogs away from the pond and don't let them pee on the building, tables or landscaping.

The place itself was nice. It was clean and busy. However the food was more than mediocre. We had a cheeseburger and the bacon cheeseburger. They were incredibly greasy to the point where the paper tore and juices got everywhere. The fries are cooked in peanut oil. We also had the frozen custard. It was generic soft serve. Two small...
