While staying for a week in a cabin not far from this small town, we came down for a family dinner one evening. It was excellent! Great menu, good variety of dinners and sandwiches. They also had a decent kid's menu as well. There is a small bar, a nice inside area and a nice outdoor section out back. It... More

I got a steak and a crab cake; and I can honestly say it was the most disgusting thing I have ever eaten. They just were not cooked right.. I could also hear the chefs talking in the back and they were extremely rude. I have never heard such drama. It's as if teenagers are cooking back there. So overall... More

We began eating at Benjamin's when it was Bear Creek Tavern in 1993. Their shrimp baskets and french fries basket were fantastic. I was commuting between here and Georgia while my family settled here and would always go by and get one of each for the ride back to Georgia. My wife and I find that Benjamin's is an answer... More

We live just down the street and have decided to go to Benjamin's for dinner on several occasions. We have driven over only to be told they were full and have called ahead only to be told they were booked until late in the evening. When we have gotten in service has been good, but the food preparation has been... More

We had one meal at Benjamin's 9 years ago and we're not impressed. After years of seeing very interesting menus items on their sign out front, we decided to give it another try. About 1 year ago we started going back and we were glad we did. They have a wide variety of things on the menu with several specials... More

This restaurant provided a good country atmosphere and good food. The prices were a little more than I would have expected for the food. However, the food did have good quality and taste. We had a group of 15 and service was good and the server was pleasant and welcoming. I would take my wife here for a meal, but... More

Visited friends in Lynchburg and we decided to have Sunday brunch here. They have a nice covered deck in the back which is where we sat. The service was good and the omelette was also good. If you like French toast you should try the bananas foster French toast as it looked good.

Other reviews have been great so I hope that our experience was unusual. When I review, I try to speak positively about a place but also share the true experience. With that said I must share that the food just wasn't very good. I ordered the crab cake po'boy sandwich. Supposedly, they are THE best and made with jumbo lump... More

This restaurant's food says "chef" instead of just "cook". They offer daily specials that are out of the ordinary for this area - haven't been disappointed yet. The choice of specials is my favorite part of my Benjamin's experience. My one complaint is that twice recently we have gotten onion rings (usually A+) so overdone that I would not have... More

Benjamin's has a really nice Sunday Brunch menu and typically has an eclectic mix of specials that it offers using fresh seafood, beef, and pork. Fried Oysters, center cut pork chops (of which I have NEVER had such tasty, moist chops in any restaurant before), Waffles with ice cream and pecan syrup..... One of the few places in Lynchburg area... More

Sunday Brunch is a 'fun' shift for the staff that they take great pride in. Originally a shift created to add hours for well deserved staff, and fill a void in the area for a higher end brunch menu. Brunch has grown to something special. A way for creativity to flow, and the possibilities are endless. Thank you for the... More
