First of all Floyd is a special place. A trifecta of locals, northern transplants and hippies from the communes. Somehow it all works and the Blue Ridge Restaurant on the pretty Main Street serves a delightful menu to accommodate the eclectic patrons, visitors, and tastes. Arts, Bluegrass music and entertainment are the draws to the city and the Blue Ridge... More

Old-timey diner-style restaurant downtown, just the thing for a breakfast of eggs, grits and biscuits with gravy. For a native rural Virginian, this is paradise. Everybody there on a Sunday morning was local, including huge families of ten and more sitting lined up at squeezed together tables. Nicest waitresses, too.

Convenient to Hotel Floyd. Had eggs, grits, sausages. Full short order menu. Besides the Coffee House, think this is the best in Floyd!!

The grits with cheddar and pork was really good. My friend had biscuits and gravy which was a HUGE portion. Friendly staff, clean bathrooms.

took family to this restaurant for the first time, food was okay, wish we had waited and ate at the Labor Day Flea Market in Hillsville though, very dark haired waitress wasn't too friendly, there are tables within reach of bathroom door.

Advertised as home cooking but that's not what we got. My wife got an omelet with hash browns. The omelet was fine but the hash browns were like the ones you get at McDonalds.... Really!? I order bacon, eggs and home fries. My home fries were home made potato chips. Not what I expected. Both of our biscuits were cold.... More

Had breakfast. Ordered omelette and hash browns. The omelette was made with sliced cheese and the hash browns were like the ones you get at a fast food restaurant. Not impressed.

Cheap plenty-to-eat breakfast. Good biscuits and gravy. Locals eat there every day. We feel like we haven't been to Floyd without at least one breakfast at Blue Ridge.

My husband and I had breakfast here. We had the gravy biscuit with pile of bacon and scrambled eggs. It was delicious! I promise you will not leave this place hungry. Don't miss eating here while on Floyd.
