Food was average, nothing special. Typical small town diner setting. Some of the food seemed like it was taken straight from a freezer to a microwave.

Have been to BRR several times. Service ranges from OK to nonexistent. The food is straight from the can. Eggs are OK but otherwise you're on your own.

I special ordered 2 items not on the menu and they was friggin awesome. I got a 4 hamburger patties stacked on 2 Hamburger buns with cheese and bacon between each layer. It was so good. Then I ask for a 6 inch patty with swiss cheese, mushrooms fried on the grill, a little mayo and salt. I told the... More

My wife and I had been driving the Blue Ridge Parkway and came down to Floyd for a bite of lunch. We happened upon the Blue Ridge Restaurant, partly from a listing in a local flyer and partly as it was opposite where we parked. It turned out to be a good choice - which I expected when we walked... More

Not terrible, but not particularly inspiring. I had scrambled egg which we a little tough and breakfast fries which were to hard. I hoped the cook just had a bad day but it was the same the next time. I doubt there will be a third.

We stopped here for lunch. The proprietor was 60+ with a peace symbol headband around her head. Hippie alert! So we ordered soup and sandwiches with chips. My toasted grilled cheese was awesome with wonderful lettuce and tomato. The homemade chicken soup was delicious with generous homemade noodles. My spouse ordered the chicken salad sandwich. It was scrumptious. For dessert... More

Close to the center of town; we always eat breakfast when we are visiting Floyd. The food and service are both excellent; there is little turnover of staff. We love the homemade chips!

Ate here for breakfast on a weekday. Restaurant was about half full, maybe a little more. Service was not very good. Waitress disappeared for long periods of time. I had an egg over-easy, bacon, grits, and a biscuit. Egg was perfectly cooked. However, grits were drowning in butter, and bacon was so limp that I could fold it in half... More

First of all Floyd is a special place. A trifecta of locals, northern transplants and hippies from the communes. Somehow it all works and the Blue Ridge Restaurant on the pretty Main Street serves a delightful menu to accommodate the eclectic patrons, visitors, and tastes. Arts, Bluegrass music and entertainment are the draws to the city and the Blue Ridge... More
