Come for the view

We sat on the patio on an absolutely glorious summer day. I had the croissant BLT, which was good, and our friends enjoyed their meals (steak sandwich and salmon). Husband ordered the shrimp and grits, and said his first plate was far too salty for him to eat, and had to send it back. He said the... read more

Chateau Morissette was a nice place to have dinner on the grounds of the Chateau Morrisette Winery. This experience offered pleasant surroundings, good service, and a menu with a range of selections tempting enough for most tastes and desires. Six in the party selected from a range of entrees (sides extra). Four of us in the party selected the beef... More

Went to Chateau for a wine-tasting and Sunday brunch on Father's Day and it was a spectacular experience. Afterwards, I bought a case of wine. You just cannot go wrong at Chateau Morrisette!

My family and I consistently have had great meals made with fresh and local ingredients at the Chateau Morrisette. The shrimp and grits are really yummy. Steaks are good and the sides are good. They are a little pricey but the quality, setting, and nice wait staff are well worth it. The service is always great. A fancy place but... More

Our party of 4 friends thoroughly enjoyed our recent Saturday lunch on the outdoor veranda with stunning view of country side.... we all tasted and agreed unanimously that the side order of collard greens were perhaps the best we had ever tasted...possessing subtle background sweetness and bacon-like flavors. On our request, our friendly and helpful waitress Kendra checked with the... More

We have been to Chateau Morrisette several times over the last 20 years, even though we live 8h away, will do the detour any time we're anywhere "close by" Their Chambourcy and Chardonnay reserve are outstanding. The restaurant is good, and has a very nice view of the blue ridge. Don't go if you don't like dogs, as there are... More

Spent the weekend in Floyd VA. Was told about this winery from several people. From the outside looks beautiful place with views but the wines were horrible.
