We always feel as if we have just eaten the finest food in the world when we leave. We take all of our out of town guests there and they are always impressed.

Thanks for the great review. We look forward to seeing you back here in the fall. It's such a beautiful time to be in the Blue Ridge Mountains. And remember, we are open for lunch 7-days a week during the month of October! More

It had been quite a number of years since I dined at the Chateau. Ambiance continues to be incredible. Where else can you dine outside and watch the sunset behind the mountains? In NC, at least. Food much better than past visits, and it was not bad then. Beer is now available (New Belgium offerings) along with the winery offerings.... More

The lunch (with a glass of wine) at Chateau Morrisette was lovely. Be sure to plan your visit to the winery around a meal. It is a wonderful way to spend a few relaxing hours.

Had lunch today at the Chateau Morrisette on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Drove the 90 miles from Princeton WV. It was a "Sunday" all you can eat brunch and the food was outstanding (again). Choice prime rib, ham, bacon, omelets etc. so much I can't describe it all. At lease 10 desserts of all kinds. The Chateau is a winery... More

Thanks for the wonderful review. I'm very happy you and your family had a great experience with us. It's true, we are a little hard to find. The National Park Service does not allow signage along the Blue Ridge Parkway and GPS doesn't always bring visitors the most direct route. I advise guests to check for directions on our website... We have eaten at Chateau Morrisette many times over the years. We have never been disappointed. On this visit we had the Sunday brunch. It was very good and as odd as this may seem for a Southerner, they had the best collard greens I have every eaten. They were dry, slightly crisp, and smokey--just terrific. All of the meal... More

Glad you liked the Chambourcin. It's always been one of my favorites. As an FYI, our Chambourcin Reserve will be released later this summer and I've had the opportunity to sample it already. It's quite delicious. Look for it next time you're here or order some to be delivered to your home. Thanks for the nice review. More

This is a stop you don't want to miss. From the short 15 minute winery tour to the wine tasting, to a fabulous dinner, you will not be disappointed. The tour guide gives you onsite to the family history and 'Black Dog' labels that you find on their wine bottles. The tasting experience is extensive and lots of fun. Make... More

Having never thought that Virginia produced wine, I was very surprised at the quality of the wine from Chateau Morrisette. I liked every wine we tasted! Did not stay for lunch, I feel that we missed an opportunity for excellent food as well. We have the Chateau on our list of places to eat when next in the Blue Ridge... More
